Didn't have much time this weekend, but I managed to quickly finish the background  to where I'm satisfied with it.  The previous draft was too simple, so I just went ahead and re-did the whole perspective to what I had envisioned originally in first place.

I think the previous linework draft helped to visualize in my head what the size of the background objects (door, armchairs) should be in relation to the desk so that it doesn't look too incorrect, so I don't think it was a waste of time to make that line draft first.

Now that the background is out of the way, I will add the last bit of detail to Bastienne's linework in the ahegao pose, and then coloring can begin.  If I have some extra time, I will try to remember to add some texture to the walls and carpet!  ...Since I forgot to and just now realized that i didn't.

FYI, the vertically cropped image is a preview of what I intend the public version will look like.

I also uploaded a version of the background I was working on; turns out that the ceiling is not visible at all when at proper zoom...

Lastly, I've uploaded the background without Bastienne.

The draft Bastienne is like a statue because she is completely white. I want her small figure in my room.
