I've had a similar experience with a past bf and a good friend (15+ yrs at the time). This was about 10 years ago. He and I lived ~3 hrs from most of our friends/family. He went home for a weekend to see his fam - I didn't join. I had no idea until almost 8 months later when she blurted it out while piss drunk that he came to see her on his way home and they slept together. He was sober, she was drunk at the time. I confronted him immediately after she told me. When asked, he admitted he was never going to tell me. Silly me.. I stayed with him for another 2 ½ yrs.. why? who the hell knows. But I stopped talking to her for that same timeframe.
