Oh man, hearing your anecdote really hit home. I was lucky enough to have friends to go see this movie with but a few years later it was strictly me at the theater by myself because no one I knew would want to watch the Conjuring/Insidious/Nun movies, etc. with me. Spot on man! Going to see a movie by yourself is a fantastic experience and IDGAF what anyone says! BTW here in the US the Dark Knight was always packed, the reviews were stellar + word of mouth made this film soar and ticket constantly sold out. I also took my father to watch this!
