Mrs. Sixel even won an Academy Award for the editing, and she deserved it! Holy heck, this movie still blows my mind on every re-watch. The pacing, story (simple as it may be, the complexity lies within), acting, score, costumes, rigs and VEHICLES,... I remember the first time I watched this movie. I was a sort-of-movie-interested guy back when it came out in cinemas, and I had been out on a sunshine/drinking-trip with friends, and on a hangover day we went downtown and saw that a new Mad Max movie was showing. I certainly knew the previous movies; I just had completely missed that another one had been made, and I had no preconceived notions of it, I was actually even a bit disgusted at the thought of Hollywood probably doing a bland remake/sequel. I said nothing though, and we decided to watch it to spend a couple of hours. What followed was me sitting with my eyes wide open like a goddamn tarsier for the rest of the movie. In the following weeks, I went to see it another 3 times in the cinema. So happy to have experienced this movie on the big screen, it's probably one of those movies that will stay on top lists forever.

Lol, So George Miller is awesome but honestly the real gem is someone else you mentioned. Margaret Sixel. George Miller's WIFE. Who he BEGGED to edit this film because he SAID (yes you can look this up and its out there as facts) that if a man edited it, we'd have a totally different movie and not the one he actually wanted to make. I think the reason why this film will be a forever fave of generations is because of it's tendency to remind us so much of the difference between the distant hope of the future to come vs what must and can be done here, now, in the present. How this is something that starts on the inside of every person to have the courage to look deep inside yourself and figure out EXACTLY what it is that is holding you back from being the change you want to see and manifest no matter what it is. To look for, see it, and pull out the rotting cruddy core of whatever it is, and trust those around you to support you while you heal better and brighter for it. It's why when Furiosa agrees to Max's plan to take the fight to Joe, to turn back to what they know is real and exists and is NOW instead of chasing the unreal and unreachable... It's then that they truly win, and it's as important of a moment for her as it is for him. You cannot gain redemption or peace doing nothing but running. More often then not whatever you run from is bound to catch up to you at some point or another. It's probably why the majority of the film really is one epic massive unforgettable car chase. And why the moment they turn around to face and fight what's chasing them is the moment they win. Also helps that the film is a feminist masterpiece, and it's shown in literally every impactful scene in the film, had an amazing cast & crew, and literally some of the best practical effects that have ever graced the film industry.

You need to put a little blurred screen in the corner, timer alone is not enough! We cant never know if we sync up perfectly. Almost every other reaction channel has that blurred screen, it is aloud.
