Everyone, we have Des and Crimson idea sketches come in today. Think of them like rough drafts with options.

I have some feedback for the artist to get closer to what I think they look like, but I'm going to check with all of you to make sure that these are the character's you invision.

Also, for webcomic speed this artist is absolutely fantastic.

That Crimson braid looks like a tripping hazard. I'm pretty curious as what the balance will be in costume design between looking good and practicality. How well do high heels work in swamp and sand dune battles? Someone's going to turn an ankle.

Crimson's an extremely high level adventure, with skills that make her a monster to even other high-level adventurers. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have to worry about mundane concerns like that, given she's in a magical rpg verse.

I’d have thought Des was bustier, since she’s described as having ‘weapons grade tits’. Personally I prefer this Des! Crimson looks good too! Though I always pictured her in more figure hugging armour, with knee high boots. I agree, heels aren’t practical. And while the superhuman feats high level adventurers are capable of are great, they started at level 1 like everyone else. I honestly don’t see women hampering themselves like that from level 1, and by the time they’re high enough level to reasonably adapt to fighting in heels etc they’re too smart to make that switch. This world is function over form incarnate as far as I’m concerned (and I thank Bruce for that!). And while I’m sure some women hit level 20 or whatever and decide to hamper themselves, Crimson is too much a dungeonhead to do that! Least I hope she is…
