SSV 4 Chapter 18 (Patreon)

In the end, I never got my power to work beyond liquids, but after playing with adjusting the power I gained far more control and a natural sense to the point that I could just think about what I wanted and create it.
“Oh wow.” Pollen stopped at the entrance to the temple. “That’s you. And that’s Stella.” She pointed up at the statue.
The sculptor had successfully put Stella up on my shoulder, whispering into my ear. There was another chunk of marble that had been brought in as well. I assumed that was going to become Melody.
My eye trailed around the area, noticing several more pieces of marble the same size waiting as well.
“Everything okay?” Pollen asked.
“Yeah. Just looking at the progress. Stella is a new addition, and I think they are going to put Melody up there too.” I moved on, walking behind the statues to the room beyond.
Stella and Melody had moved from the bed to the couches and were leaning comfortably against each other, chatting away.
“You two having fun?” I waved at them as I walked in with Pollen.
“Master!” Stella launched herself off the couch with her super strength and formed her wings to guide her flight as she hit me going full speed.
I braced myself with my void leg, catching her with my void arm. It was instinct to use my two more durable limbs to take the momentum of my exuberant succubus. And sure enough, I barely even felt the impact as I spun with her and pulled her closer.
“I like your new arm. It gives better hugs.” Stella blinked up at me and kissed my neck, sending little tingles down my spine. “Oh and Pollen!” Stella spotted Pollen next to me.
“Good to see you too.” I put a little fake hurt into my voice.
Stella rolled her eyes at me as she collected Pollen into a hug and swept the smaller woman off her feet. “Master, you can get all the attention you want. But we have things to discuss! Has he kissed you?” Stella asked Pollen.
“Yes, I have.” I answered for Pollen, who looked like she had no idea what to do with an excited succubus.
Stella let out a squeal as she smashed her face roughly to Pollen’s and kissed the bee girl with full fervor only Stella could manage.
When she pulled away, Stella had a look of slight confusion before she turned to me with bright eyes. “She tastes like fucking honey. I call dibs on sucking you off after she does.”
I snorted a laugh. “Calm down Stella. We’re not there yet.”
Pollen just looked confused, her gaze pivoting between both of us. “I’m not against it, but I’m more interested in Miles.” She touched her lips.
Stella laughed. “No, I just wanted to kiss those lips. Miles liked them, and I’m very curious about anything my master likes.” Stella licked some of Pollen’s sticky saliva off her lips. “Okay, maybe I like it a little.”
“Just wait until you learn what Miles can do now.” Pollen laughed. “I might become obsolete.”
Stella raised a brow in question, but it was Melody that spoke up. “Were you able to practice?”
Instead of directly answering her, I lifted an empty jar from across the room.
First, I created water to trickle into the pot before I swirled it around. Then I brought it out and burned it away into a puff of steam that I stuffed in the pot to sterilize it.
I always enjoyed a bit of theatrics, so I then made the syrup-like substance seem to pour out of mid air and swirl around all of us.
Stella reached out a hand and caught a little of the steam with a finger and stuck it in her mouth. “No.” She whispered, moving over to press herself up against me. “This—this”
“He’s not done yet.” Pollen laughed.
Melody mimicked Stella and had a look of surprise as she tasted the syrup. “This is good.”
“Of COURSE it’s good! It’s Master Syrup!” Stella had a new intensity in her eyes. “What else have you learned?”
I repeated the cleaning of another jar and then the pancake mix started the same path as the syrup.
Stella was holding onto me and bouncing up and down as she first saw the pancake mix. It was only thanks to my power that she wasn’t accidentally tossing me across the room. “It can’t be. Is it?” She said in a hushed voice.
When it passed by her, she stuck a finger out and put it in her mouth before looking at me with a new level of reverence. “Marry me.”
“We are already engaged.” I laughed. “You’ll have to wait.”
“You are too perfect.” Stella hugged me hard enough to make my ribs crackle before I insulated myself with my power. “I love you so much Master. You have the power to make syrup and pancakes. Now you just need to be able to make butter.”
I sighed. “Only liquids so far.”
“Liquid butter will do.” She nodded, as if that was a given. “Okay, change of dinner plans Melody.”
“We had pancakes this morning.” Melody sighed, but she clearly knew her words would have no effect on the outcome.
“These aren’t pancakes. These are… are… mastercakes, mastcake…” Stella chuckled at some joke that was clearly Stella specific. “Voidcakes!” She settled on a new word. “These are voidcakes, and we must see what they taste like.”
Melody just sighed. “Fine. Let’s have voidcakes for dinner.”
Stella hauled away the two pots into what I assumed was the kitchen.
“Is she always that… intense?” Pollen was still in shock.
“Yeah. That’s Stella. She’s actually less intense when he’s not here. So, you got brought back here?” Melody hedged into the conversation.
Pollen nodded and bit her lip. “I might not be quite ready to sleep with him. I’m just here for some protection.”
Melody raised her brow at me for the protection part, but she didn’t ask. Instead, she just put an arm around Pollen. “Don’t worry, he won’t push you.” She shot me a different type of look, and I put my hands up, moving to the table.
I knew that any minute a bouncing Stella would come out of the kitchen with hot voidcakes and I wanted to be ready for her.
“That’s good. He’s a little pushy, but most guys are after they kiss me.” Pollen replied with a blush.
“Do you taste different down there?” Melody tried to ask it as casually as she could.
Pollen cleared her throat but nodded slightly.
“Dangerous. Stella is going to be the one you need to worry about being pushy.” Melody teased her, and I knew she was right.
Daeva floated in with a broad smile on her face. “Ah. Pollen, welcome to my temple. I see Miles brought you here.” Daeva landed next to me, she paused, biting her lip as she stared at my lap.
I opened my arms, curious what she would do.
Without hesitation, she fell onto my lap, pressing her hand against my chest to feel my heartbeat. I sped it up a little for her own enjoyment.
A smile broke across her face as she leaned in and kissed me. Her tongue was a wild thing as it shoved its way into my mouth with her full super strength and she tangled with my tongue for a moment before pulling away with a hot breath.
“I apologize about before. No one has really educated me in such things. I have asked Skel and Stella for lessons. The first was from Stella on how to kiss.”
I pinched my fingers together. “That was a little less aggressive. Your super strength applies to your tongue too.”
She covered her lips with her fingers. “I’m sorry.”
“No worries. Sometimes the best thing two people can do is be honest about what they like. What do you like?” I asked.
Daeva frowned. “Just your touches. No one ever touches me. Even in the lab, they always had gloves.”
I couldn’t help the sad smile that crept up on my face as I ran my hands over her arms up to her shoulders.
Then I spun her around and pulled her back to my chest, letting my arms coil around her slim waist as I held her against me.
She let out a sigh that sounded like it was filled with so much weight. “This feels good.”
I put my chin on her head and just enveloped her with my body, letting my heart pick up its pace and pound against her back.
Daeva pulled at my arms, wrapping herself tighter.
Melody dragged the staring Pollen away to give Daeva and I a little privacy.
“Anytime you need this, just ask. You can ask Stella or the other girls too.” I was a little worried for Daeva. She’d been deprived of human touch, and that had to be hard for her.
“I’ll think about it. But your touch feels so good.” She relaxed, and little goosebumps rose along her arms.
Cradling us both with my power, I lifted us up and made us invisible before exiting the temple and letting us both look at the stars together. “Sometimes you need to take a minute and relax. Breathe and watch the stars.” I whispered into her ear.
“Do you like the night sky? Your Void coloring always looks like the night sky.” Daeva was still, like she was worried that she’d lose the feeling she had in my arms if she moved.
“Sometimes. I spent a long time being very angry at the world. I was unable to use my powers during the day. Too hard to hide. So the night became comforting to me. It’s a place to hide.” I admitted.
“You don’t have to hide here. You haven’t been hiding here.” She looked up over her forehead at me. “Is New Haven working well for you?”
“Yes, better than I expected. Not hiding has been… relaxing in a way I didn’t know I needed before.”
I realized as I said it that it wasn’t that different from Daeva experiencing touch. We were both getting to see the good that could come from something we’d deprived ourselves from having.
Something about not hiding my powers had freed a part of my head space that has always been keeping a tight leash on things. Before, every action was more calculated and reserved. I was loosening up in New Haven.
After getting to be free, I was starting to struggle with the idea of hiding my powers again in Point City.
But not hiding them would mean coming out as Void.
I looked down past Daeva at my void arm, realizing that it was going to be nearly impossible to really hide everything anymore.
“Everything okay?” Daeva asked, noticing that I’d gone quiet.
“Thinking.” Blowing out a breath, I made a decision. “I like New Haven. Is there still an opening for a God King of Fertility here?” I teased her. I had a pretty good feeling what her answer would be, but in the pause before she replied, I found myself feeling anxious. I’d really grown to like New Haven, and Daeva.
“Of course.” Daeva smiled and her eyes caught the moonlight. “I put a statue in the temple for you. That feels pretty permanent.”
“Then, I’ll take the job. But I need to spend some time in Point City. I won’t be here all the time.” I wanted to make sure to set her expectations.
Daeva nodded. “I don’t expect you to throw everything else you’ve done away. Besides, being an agent for us in Point City would be helpful. Miles and Void have purpose there.”
I hummed in agreement, but I was growing more interested in merging my two personas when I returned. I knew it would bring difficulties. It was harder to pin Pratt and Henrick’s death on Void if I was clearly Void.
But I’d deal with that later.
“Are you ready for dinner? Stella is probably about done with her voidcakes.” I looked over at Daeva.
Daeva nodded and I gently floated us back down where the others were sitting around the table. They were all waiting for us with stacks of fluffy pancakes covered in syrup in front of them.
When I reached the temple, I could smell the pan—voidcakes. “Stella, these smell amazing.”
“Oh! There you are. Aww, you look adorable Daeva.” Stella winked and whispered loudly. “Good job.”
I sighed. “Did you coach her again?”
“No.” Stella shook her head hard enough that it would make most people dizzy. “I just explained how to be romantic to her.”
“And how to kiss?” I already knew the answer.
“Don’t worry. Sex is the next lesson.” Stella deadpanned.
I rubbed my face. That was far too quick. “Let’s try these voidcakes.”
“Yes, they are—“ Stella scowled at me. “Wait a second.”
“I too would like these voidcakes.” Daeva sat down and poked the stack of pancakes with a fork. “What makes them different than pancakes?” She cut out a slice from the stack and stuffed them in her mouth.
“They are made with Master’s special void pancake mix.” Stella grinned.
Melody choked on her pancakes and smacked the table as she coughed.
Daeva stopped mid chew. “That’s a sex joke, isn’t it? Is there something in this I should know?”
Pollen dapped at her lips with a cloth, recovering from her own cough much faster. “No. There is nothing odd in these. But what Stella said could very easily be a sex joke.”
Daeva went back to eating, seemingly not worried.
“I made the pancake batter with my powers, so Stella is calling them special pancakes.” I explained.
“Voidcakes.” Stella corrected me.
I could feel Mona latch onto the thought of putting my fluids in pancakes, and she was very eager.
It was a bit much, and they were thoughts I wasn’t entirely interested in having.
I shunted her thoughts that had overflowed into my mind aside. It was going to take a little work from me to manage the relationship I had with Mona and feeling more of her direct feelings.
“Voidcakes.” I agreed, making Stella smile as I took a bite. “They taste great. We must have a wonderful pancake chef.”
Stella nodded seriously. “Yes. Only the best cooking skills for voidcakes. I had to focus really hard to stay on task to make sure they didn’t burn.”
That was saying something given how easily Stella was distracted.
Daeva ate another piece. “So, you can make food out of thin air now? That’s new.”
“Right now I can only make liquids.” I clarified. “It’s part of my training for defeating the Fenris Wolf.”
Daeva raised an eyebrow. “You are going to defeat it by hitting it with pancake mix? Well, I certainly never considered trying that.”
Melody laughed, stopping herself as she almost spit out a bit of voidcake.
I went to respond but was cut off by Stella.
“Yes. The power of pancakes will prevail!” Stella shouted at the top of her lungs.
The table just chuckled.
There was a lull in conversation as we took a few more bites before Melody spoke up. Her voice was soft, knowing it was a touchy subject, but she asked what many were wondering. “So, you were there?” She directed the question to Daeva.
Daeva nodded. “Only survivor of Valley City.”
“So, what’s your third power?” Melody asked.
Daeva hesitated, but before she could speak one of the temple maidens entered, and Daeva turned with an expression of relief on her face.
“My apologies” The maiden wilted. “There’s an offering for The God King of Fertility.” She gave Daeva an apologetic smile.
I stood up from the table, scraping the chair on the floor. I was curious what my offering would be.
Making myself invisible, I left the room only for the rest of them to follow after me. Since they were following, I made them all invisible so I could make an entrance.
I floated out by my statue.
A dark form was kneeling before the statue.
Vaash had a stack of something in front of her as the temple maiden spoke softly to her.
“The God King will receive your offering. If he wants to, he’ll make an appearance.” The temple maiden was instructing Vaash as she continued to lay prone before my statue, looking up at it.
“Mr. God King. I just want to thank you for today. You gave me purpose when I was struggling to find one.”
Stella flew out of my bubble of invisibility, landing before Vaash.
I wanted to stop her, but there wasn’t really any stopping Stella. I waited to see what she would do.
“God—“ Vaash paused when it wasn’t who she was expecting. “Who are you?”
Stella pointed up at the marble version of herself whispering into my ear. “I’m the goddess of lust, and the God king of fertility’s loyal succubus. He hears your prayer and wants you to know that he’ll be watching you closely. He hopes that you’ll continue to use the opportunity he gave you.”
She was actually just being encouraging.
Then Stella crouched down and whispered something conspiratorially into Vaash’s ear, causing the dark skinned woman’s fiery lashes to grow larger for a moment as the dark bushy tail picked up and started wagging behind her.
“Really?” Vaash asked.
“Mmmhmm. You should come by often. Trust me. I know the wishes of my Master.” She bobbed her brows while that little mischievous tail of her swished behind her.
Vaash nodded and lifted the stack of what looked like plates in front of her. “Then please give him my offering. I know I made it from what he gave me, but I worked hard on them.”
“These are so pretty!” Stella smiled and took the stack of plates. “Come back sometime soon. The God King is very generous and will bestow many gifts onto you.”
I wasn’t sure what would happen to my harem if Stella instructed every woman who came to my statue, but beyond trying to instruct everybody into my bed, she wasn’t bad at it.
I decided not to show myself, letting Stella be my intermediary.
Vaash stayed a moment longer before bowing again and heading out.
I took the chance to pull Stella into the back room. “What were you doing?”
She tilted her head like a cute kitten. “Getting you more worshipers, duh. We need to work a little at this. Don’t worry, I got this.” She patted me on the shoulder. “Okay, back to the voidcakes everyone. There’s always seconds if you haven’t had enough.”
I was a little bewildered, but Melody just gave me a consoling pat on the shoulder. “You know you can’t stop her.”
