Okay!

So, now I’ve tied in Dao to the rest as I’ve planned since I started it back… a year and a half ago.

Damn, it’s been a while.

Everyone probably wants to know how everything else is connect and… it isn’t all connected. In some sense, my concepts of magic or mana are very similar across series and you could certainly see some echoes of Dar’s new universe in my other works.

But SSV and Dragon were never planned to be connected.

Just my first three series were connected with a loose plan to add in a just after LR story that would be LitRPG post apocalyptic.

I started it as ‘Delightful Demons’ here on Patreon, but I don’t think I’m going to write it for a while. I want happier themes right now.

Dragon will probably go to 8 books and SSV I’m thinking 6ish. Dungeon so far seems great, it’s a little more comedic, with some anime slapstick humor.

I’m not sure how long that one is going to be, we’ll see how it is received. Ultimately, I am still somewhat driven by the whims of the overall audience.

Though, as I get more and more books under my name, things become more and more stable. So, that’s always a boon and I still just love to write.

I’m just trying to keep on writing. November is National Writing month and a yearly event called ‘Nanowrimo’. I probably spelled that wrong. Either way, it is where people are challenged to write a 50k book in a month.

My personal challenge is 160k words. Given that books from me are about 120k, that means I’m going to try and get another big chunk of Dungeon done this month, though I’m hesitant to commit to being able to get audio out with the ebook.

Either way, I’m just going to use some of that time I’m ahead to spend some family time over Christmas and have a fat stack of patreon chapters to keep things going for you.

Life is going well. I hate the political season. But Plague is getting a new daycare next week, the current one shut down last week because their entire staff was out with a bad case of the flu, which also went through our house. And we’ve long since realized that maybe he’ll be a little less plaguey if we pull the trigger on a closer daycare that actually sends kids home for being sick. (The current one doesn’t unless it’s like hand-foot-and-mouth.)

So things are looking up, political ads will snap out of existence in a week like a Thanos meme. Plague will go to a new daycare and likely be sent home the first week. I’m churning out words, with more aggressive daily goals, that I’m successfully hitting. All good things.

Audio is rolling with Lewis and Rozelyn starting up a book a month and, super exciting, they do their own proofing and do it quite well. So that’s a big load off my back. Mana had been requiring multiple proofing and editing rounds to get it even as clean as it is. So, happy to get that part of the job off my plate.

The manga is going… slowly. We aren’t even done with Chapter 2 yet. Chapter 1 took a little bit to get Miles’ character down so I probably want him to redo some of the early pages. All in, I’m hoping to get 3 chapters done by the end of the year and be able to setup a Kickstarter for it in Jan.

But at least that project is pretty much on autopilot right now. Even if it’s slow, it isn’t requiring much of my attention.

Dragon starts tomorrow, I need to start editing it today. They are setting up a wedding before being pulled into the fae wilds. Where things get really interesting when he discovers a red dragon amid the wilds. Dun dun duuuuuun.
