As much as I wanted to barge right up to the Leon Family and face them head on for their attack, I knew I couldn’t take them yet. The Leon family was a massive ancient family; I needed allies and power.

And right now, my focus needed to stay on integrating into the Yunpi family and keeping my own family safe.

I headed back to the Su estate, finding my wives lounging around Tianxi’s place. They were clearly enjoying themselves, taking the opportunity to relax before we went off to Cloud City. They deserved it.

Celina walked up with me; Lanhua had excused herself as we’d left the tunnels.

I noticed Celina watching me carefully. I raised my eyebrows, which succeeded in getting her to voice her thoughts. “You don’t have to take all of this on yourself.”

“I do.” I stated simply. “It is in my nature. I want to protect all of you, and I will find a way to do just that. We’ll head to the Yunpi family tomorrow morning.” I’d made up my mind that I needed to do this as soon as possible.

She nodded slowly.

Phoebe’s ring pulsed against my chest, but I wanted to talk to her privately.

“Tell the others to get ready. I’m going to have a talk with Phoebe.” I stepped away to walk through the garden.

Celina tugged me back to her, giving me a kiss before she glided away to join my other wives. As she neared them, they instantly started fussing over her, inspecting her for injuries.

Smiling at their camaraderie, I moved a bit further away before I pushed on Phoebe’s ring. She popped into reality in front of me, a projection of mana controlled by her formidable soul strength.

And I wanted to change that. Because they weren’t real in a biological sense, they couldn’t bear children. And many of my mana beasts desperately wanted little ones of their own. I was told Phoebe held the answers, but so far she’d been cryptic. All I knew was I’d have to give up a small piece of some essence I apparently held inside myself.

“You want to be stronger so you can protect your wives?” Phoebe’s first words intrigued me.

“What immortal doesn’t want to grow stronger? That’s directly tied to sustaining my life.” I smiled. Her question had been mostly rhetorical. “But the seventh ring is so far away, unless you have secrets there?”

Phoebe shook her fire-red hair, the blonde tips swirling in the air with her movement. “No. Cultivation has changed slightly since I walked the world, but the next step has always been a tricky one. It takes more than pure evolution of strength through training; you must understand the world.”

I nodded with her words. The sixth ring had included forming a domain. But for the seventh rank, I’d need to expand that into a small world inside myself, forming it into a reality of its own.

Phoebe continued. “But on the path to the seventh ring, there are many directions. One you have already started to identify without realizing it.” Phoebe made a chopping motion with her palm and a bright red flash extended beyond it, cleanly slicing off a rose stem. She splayed her fingers, and a dozen small red flashes removed all the thorns before she plucked it out of the air. “Understanding the sword is one such path.”

I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. She had just casually displayed a level of swordsmanship beyond even my father. “Just how old are you again?”

Phoebe laughed. “It’s rude to ask a lady that. But, I lived in a time filled with far more war than exists now. We also cultivated differently. We focused entirely on the concepts of the world, dao, and let the expansion of that knowledge elevate our strength rather than your somewhat backwards way of cultivating today.”

Dao wasn’t a foreign concept. It was practiced back in the mortal world to create domains. I had even done so. But it seemed that Phoebe was talking about something even greater than what I understood.

“Can you teach me your way of cultivation?” I asked, curious.

Phoebe shook her head. “It is a different era, and the universe has gone through many changes.” Her eyes trailed off to the side for a moment, lost in some memory, before she shook her head and refocused on me. “Enough of that. What you need to concentrate on is mastering the sword, internalizing the power of a sword into three stages.” Phoebe held up three fingers.

“One, you must master the sword. You need to be able to create your sword intent. From what I’ve observed, you may be close to that one. But after that, you need to create sword intent without a sword.” She gestured with her fingers, slashing into the air. “Finally, you need to integrate your cultivation into it.”

Phoebe took up a fighting stance, her face a mask of concentration as she slashed out with her palm. Her sword intent erupted with fire hot enough to wither the surrounding garden in an instant. “Whoops.”

I shielded myself from the heat of the fire. “That… was incredible. But you didn’t use a domain.” She had created actual heat, not the effects of a spell in that motion.

“You don’t need to use a domain past the sixth rank. At the seventh rank, your domain and the world are in harmony, so you can exert your will upon the world, even outside your domain.” Phoebe explained. “That means not only do you learn to control the elements inside your domain, but those outside as well. Learning to master the sword and create sword intent is a small fraction of this, but it is a beachhead that will allow you to step into the seventh rank.”

I frowned. I was fairly sure that not all seventh rank immortals were swordmasters. “From what I’ve heard, most wander the void to reach the seventh rank.”

Phoebe shrugged. “I suppose there’s more to learn in the void. Maybe it holds some hints for you as well.”

Nodding, I continued the walk with her in silence, passing through the withered portion of the garden.

Phoebe was knowledgeable, and I trusted her advice. Even if the sixth rank took hundreds of years, progress with my sword intent would benefit me. After what she’d displayed, I could easily see the edge it would give me in a fight.

It wouldn’t solve my problems right away, but it gave me a path forward.

After we walked for a while, I paused. “Thank you. You have no obligation to help me, yet you have continued to offer me guidance.”

Phoebe was my mana beast, but she hadn’t had much of a choice. She’d needed to either become my mana beast or disappear from the world.

“It isn’t so bad. The perks are nice.” She bounced her eyebrows, once again using sex as a diversion from really talking about anything serious. “The other girls are great, too.”

“Yes, I love them all dearly. Aurora has a special place in my heart; she’s been with me since I was five years old. I only recently realized how hard it must have been for her to wait thirteen years for me to cultivate to where she could exit my body. I can’t believe the love and patience she had, choosing me even if it meant waiting all that time. One day, I hope to return the favor to her…” I trailed off, letting Phoebe fill in the gap.

“This is what you’d mentioned before? About making them real, able to have kids?” She asked.

I nodded. “That would be a good start. Loving someone is a journey that has no end.” I sighed wistfully among the flowers. “Well, hopefully it doesn’t have an end.”

“You could make them real within your domain, but they won’t be able to leave that until you break through the 7th rank.” She offered.

“Would they be real in my soul space? Able to have kids?” I asked, eager to know if it could be done.

Phoebe’s brows pinched down before she slowly nodded. “Yes. I think that’s doable.”

“How?” I asked quickly.

“You’d have to create their bodies, almost like a spell, within your domain. Give it life, particularly their life.” Phoebe paused. “It would be incredibly difficult to do it from scratch. Let me think about it. I’ll try to write up a theory.”

I nodded, pleased that there was a chance.

Aurora pulsed happily in my chest, comforting me that it was enough for now.

“I’ll do that during the day. At night, we will practice your sword in your soul space.” Phoebe said sharply, her demeanor changing. “There is no time to waste. You need to grow stronger. From what I’ve observed so far, you are a boat heading directly into the path of a storm.”

I cupped my hands and gave her a playful bow. “Yes, Sensei.”

She snorted. “Careful or we’ll have to have some sex games like that.”

I shrugged; I was open to it. And she knew about my sex with the others; it wasn’t like I had any secrets from her.

My mana beasts could sense everything I did while in their rings. Despite what little I knew about Phoebe, she was able to watch my every move.

And it made me curious what she’d thought of Lanhua’s confession.

“What do you think about Lanhua?” I asked.

“Asking me about another woman already?” She teased before reading my face and becoming a little more serious. “She’s tricky for sure. On one hand, she’s helping you every step. On the other, she clearly did so with ulterior motives. It’s hard to understand exactly where her loyalty lies.”

I paused to think before answering. “Yes, but even with ulterior motives, she placed her bets on me at Murdock when she knew very little about me.”

“Then trust in that until she shows you differently. There’s a chance you get burned, but isn’t that the risk we all take with love?” Phoebe’s voice raised, and a brief glimmer shone in her eyes as she said it.

It wasn’t just me she was talking about.

I had taken Phoebe’s core to strengthen myself, to use her. But I also truly cared about her and wanted the best for her.

It was strange to realize the same way I was trying to understand Lanhua’s intentions, Phoebe was trying to understand mine. I knew how I’d felt, but she was still looking for reassurance.

“Point taken. And Phoebe, know that I am here for you.” I acknowledged her own situation. “I can work to trust her for now, and I hope to build and earn your trust as well.”

Her smile quirked up. “Thank you. Sometimes it is better to take a shot than to pass it by. But I think my distracting you is almost at its end. If you are going to the Yunpi family tomorrow, I have no doubt your wives will want to make the most of tonight.”

The rest of my mana beasts beat happily in my chest at her words.

I snorted, but I had a feeling she was right.

“Walk back with me?” I held out my arm for her to hold on to.

“My pleasure.” She leaned against me even as her fiery wings brushed against the back of my neck, sending goosebumps all the way down my spine.

We meandered back, not taking the most direct route to give us some peace before what was likely going to be a boisterous night.

And sure enough, when we got back to Tianxi’s house, my wives were ready and waiting, swarming me as Phoebe disappeared into her ring.

“Husband.” Kat gave me a half lidded look full of desire. “I think it’s time to retire for the evening.”

Shading my eyes, I looked at the sun. “But it’s not that late.” I played dumb even as Kat’s fingers found my scalp and she dragged her nails playfully down the back of my head.

“Husband.” She pressed her chest against mine, her lips fluttering so close to my own that I could taste her sweet breath. “Don’t be silly. We barely have time to give everyone a round.”

With fourteen wives to satisfy, when they all wanted to play, it was a time-consuming activity. Not that I was complaining. At least I had the life mana to give myself the stamina I needed.

I smirked, pinching her ass and throwing Kat over my shoulder. “Well, come on then. Wenxi’s place is just over here.”

Wenxi blushed. “The bed is so small.”

“We have extras that we can shove together.” Michelle strode by my side, not missing a beat.

Wenxi’s home was close to where we’d been; it didn’t take us much time to file into her home as Michelle brought two more beds out of her spatial ring, cramming her room wall to wall with the three beds. “There. That should do it.”

Kat’s hands were already wandering up inside my robe as she pressed her soft chest into me. “Time to get out of your clothes, love.” Her nails dug slightly into my flesh as she dragged my robe off my shoulders.

Ming came up to my front, soothing the scratches by running her warm palms across my chest, trailing after Kat’s nails. “I thought we could share him, Kat.”

“Oh, I love the sound of that.” Kat kissed the back of my neck as Ming pulled me towards the bed.

My other wives were all either watching or pulling their own partner onto the bed for fun. Sometimes there wasn’t enough of me to go around, and they made do with each other. It also helped tighten the bonds of this family.

Aurora banged on the inside of her ring, and I could feel her desire to join in on the fun.

I released her and the rest of my mana beasts, getting a face full of Mei’s fluffy tails before Aurora tackled me out of Ming’s arms and onto the bed, where her wings beat as she kissed me feverishly.

A stranger would have thought she hadn’t seen me in months, not one night.

“I love you, Master.” Aurora pushed my face between her silken mounds and pressed her tender flesh against the side of my head.

My thigh was already wet as she ground herself against me.

“Well, she’s enthusiastic.” Ming didn’t seem upset at having me ripped away.

“You have no idea.” Aurora turned to Ming and leapt onto her, dragging Ming down to the bed.

Something wet and warm wrapped itself around my cock as Kat sat down on my chest. The pink hair bouncing behind her was the only clue I had, and I wasn’t sure which of the Hua sisters had started sucking me, but if I had to guess, I was betting on Nikki.

But out of the corner of my eye, I watched as Nikki was pulled down on the bed by Quinn as my lovely dragon started to eat out the sultry merchant. Which meant Diana was the one pleasuring me at the moment.

“Don’t look around. I’m right here.” Kat bent low, kissing me tenderly.

Dual cultivation started all around me as my wives pleased each other and cultivated. The cultivation ran through our shared soul space, and it felt like warm sunshine washing through me.

I joined in, letting mana pour through my body into both Kat and Diana as they both pleasured me.

Ming cried out next to me as she joined in the family cultivation for the first time, her back arching as Aurora kissed her and plunged her fingers into her sex.

Normally, we focused on cycling between two people, but this time it was a tangled mess. The fifteen of us poured out and flooded the shared soul space.

Half the group on the bed twisted and writhed as mana poured through them, quickly followed by the other half as it cycled through them right after.

Kat’s lip lifted into a smile, and I pushed her away, groaning both in the physical and spiritual pleasure.

“Did you know your technique would do this?” I gasped, feeling my cock twitch in Diana’s mouth.

“I hoped with enough mana, it would overflow like this.” She ground herself against my chest and bit her lip.

Another wave of pleasure overflowed from everyone in a delectable surge, and I barely kept myself from popping into Diana’s mouth as she moaned in delight.

Kat twisted her hips, lifting her head as she reveled in her own pleasure. The room became a chorus of moans and sweet smells of my lovely wives.

Another wave rode through all of us, and I couldn’t hold back as I grabbed Kat’s hips and bucked into Diana’s waiting mouth.

I wasn’t alone.

It was like the grand finale of a fireworks show as the women around me peaked and flooded the shared soul space with pleasure and mana. We each soaked it up, moans filling the room.

“Oh, my god.” Ming turned her head to me, looking slightly out of it. “Is it like that every time?”

I chuckled. “No, that was a first.”

Aurora’s blond head popped up from where she’d face planted on the bed. “Again!”

She pushed Kat off me and rolled me on top of her. “Master, more.”

I wasn’t about to leave my first and favorite mana beast waiting as I pinned down her shoulders and plunged myself into her dripping sex.

Aurora let out a sigh of relief, like I’d just scratched an itch that had been lingering for far too long. “Yes, Master.”

Diana and Ming took up either side of me, kissing and coaxing me further.

Once again, the shared soul space started to expand with mana flooding into it from all of us. I could feel my own cultivation soaking it up and expanding, tendrils of my domain trying to snake out along all the paths towards my wives.

But my concentration was broken as Aurora’s sex clenched down tightly on me and she arched her back, coming early.

I focused again on the beautiful woman before me as she breathlessly gasped in pleasure. My wives and mana beasts were all connected to my soul space. Each time one of us pleasured another, it was increasing and expanding the flow of mana. Using the dual cultivation technique, it was continuing to flow and spread across us.

Ming let out a startled squeak from behind me as Mei crawled underneath her and started licking her.

Aurora grabbed my head, kissing me and putting her lips by my ear. “Breed me, master, pump me full of your seed.”

I growled in response, thrusting harder and faster. My tempo sent the whole group's cultivation technique into a flurry.

Ming and I were sixth rank cultivators, which meant we could throw far more mana into the technique, so my move had an audible reaction.

My wives started to come undone once more as I plowed into Aurora, pushing myself to the peak and giving her what I knew she wanted.

“Yes.” Aurora screamed as I poured my warm seed into her. “One day.” She sighed.

Sounds like Pheobe is from a similar time, if not the same time period and world, as Dar in the Dao series. That would be amusing if she had met Dar and his Dao companions. Great chapter!
