Wrapping up one book and moving onto the next, figure it is time for an update.

Things were a little rocky on the start on Mana 4, but they are starting to smooth out. I don’t normally have to delete as much content, but some writer’s block crept up on me and I had to hammer it out by making a few terrible chapters and then rewriting them.

So it is just me hitting the keyboard as hard as I can this week to catch back up to my own schedule.

I should be able to stick to a chapter a day here for Mana 4. However, with the reduced writing schedule I’m expecting to start later this month with the baby, I will probably move Dao 3 to MWF Patreon release schedule while I get back in the saddle. Good news, you’ll probably get more monstrous horizon if I’m not pushing myself to a book a month.

I keep wanting to put out a superhero story, but with the 1 month break I don’t want to delay the existing series. So, for at least the next cycle, we’ll get another Dao/Dragon/Mana before I suffer from shiny new story syndrome.

There are too many good ideas bouncing around in my head, a common problem among authors. I just need to write faster if I want to get more of them out.

Tabled stories:

Saving Supervillains - Superhero story, powers are on the X chromosome, thus we have far more women in society. MC starts out as a marketer working on a campaign for the state trying to encourage people to have harems. He has a power he keeps secret because he believes he’d be kidnapped by a villain or held in a government facility should it become known. But, strange circumstances lead him to encounter a super villain that isn’t one by choice and he can use his power and marketing skills to change her image and turn her into a superhero.

Celestial Champions - Watering Downs inspired story. (Watering downs is what Fate/Stay Night, Sekirei and a number of other stories are based off of.) A repeating tournament where heroes come down and fight alongside a normal person who learns to cultivate along the way for some ultimate yet vague prize. Only because our MC is isekai’d he can’t cultivate he then gets into body cultivation methods plus a fun twist that he can obtain more than 1 hero. Wink wink, harem mode initiated.

But of course I have 3 more Manas, 3 more Dao and I hope, a shit ton more Dragons. I really enjoyed writing all the sarcastic snark of dragon, it keeps trying to bleed into Mana.

Audio: Bordeaux Black is doing Dao. It is coming along very slowly. I’m actually getting it chapter by chapter for revision and editing, which is nice in its own way.

I have a call with Chris Boucher and Jessica Threet today to talk about timing for Dragon. They also run a narrator agency and I know they’ll try to sell me on someone else, but I want them unless it’s impossible.

What else? Let me know if you have any questions.

Really looking forward to more Dragons. I enjoyed it immensely. The Saving Supervillain series sounds interesting. Reminds me a bit of Hancock, just better. And as I've said repeatedly, and which you are probably sick of hearing from me, anything MH makes me happy.

Also looking forward to more Dragons and Mana 4. You're putting out really entertaining stories so don't push yourself too hard and burn out or start sacrificing quality if a story isn't where you want it to be. We can wait a little longer for good work.

I love writing. Only problems are around stress making it harder to focus in and get the words out. I promise to not sacrifice quality for quantity.

I just gotta keep tippity tapping them all out. Absolutely love writing them, it is just a matter of time.
