Patreon News Letter (Patreon)
Content
Hi!
Wanted to say thank you for all of your support. It means a lot to me for you to subscribe to patreon.
Things are going well on this side of the words. Hammering away in my newfound freedom of being a full-time author. The wife has to drag me to bed at times because I'm still just here tippity tapping at the keyboard. I truly do love to write. It isn't about the money, though, that all enables me to do it and support the family.
I've broken ground on Dao Divinity Book 2. Unsure at this point if I'm going to stick to book 1, 2, 3, ect or if I'm going to try to get creative. Titles and names are one of the hardest parts for some reason.
LR3 got a bit of a scare this weekend. I was editing Chapter 7 for patreon and froze when I realized there was content missing. There was a strange thing with google docs where it had been creating a new file rather than editing the existing and I had a mild scare that I'd lost dozens of hours of work. But technology prevailed, and I got it all sorted out.
I need to get going through my LR3 final edits here, probably a chapter a day, Patreon makes a nice motivator to get that final dusting off done, so I'll try and get a chapter a day here going because I have to do get it done by... the 12th... oh that's closer than I was thinking.
Oh well, I'll get it done. It always seems to happen.
Writing for a living so far has been good, I still wake up early in the morning eager to write and typically write till lunch before I break and work on the non-writing part of the gig. Lots of words, and lots of editing.
I have two artists working right now, one is on LR and a project to recover all three. The other is potentially taking over Dao Divinity since Yanai is reducing how much he's doing. I have the new artist doing Sasha for a recover of Dao Divinity. Then I have them and another artist working off the same brief for DD2, I'll share those in the second half of July and see which you guys like best.
On the subject of art, I owe some of you art. I've been looking, and I found someone who does a good anime style with animation that I thought might be a good fit. I'll put up a poll after this for that tier to confirm it is what you all want and which series I should start them on.
Dao Divinity 2 is the current project, Immortal Mana, the next book after Mana Immortal will be next up.
Let me know if you want to hear anything in particular, these newsletters are for you guys.
Thanks,
Bruce
