Hello my patrons! For our next SMMC, it's a video about me doing a whole lot of nothing. :-) Really though we have a broken Book 8088, a Voodoo 2 card which I try to get working which gets me talking all about vintage 3D cards and a Sony Trinitron mainboard that can hopefully result in a repaired little 9" Sony TV!

Now this one is uploaded, I think I'm going to go downstairs and open some more packages. (Before the power goes out again.... yes I'm writing this Monday night)

Thanks for your support!

Adrian, you can always send a message to Bit und Bolts. I think he is the resident Vodoo expert on Youtube :) With your profile, I am sure he would be glad to get in touch. https://www.youtube.com/@bitsundbolts

Hey Adrian... I just realized that I have a 3D Blaster Banshee CT6760 Voodoo 2 Card with its original user manual and driver CDROM. But mine looks to be newer than yours. For once, it doesn't have that pass-through VGA input socket. So, there obviously has to be a 2D GPU on there. I remember that one of the largest chain of computer-shops over here, refused to sell these Banshee cards to us separately, but only with a new PC which they had build for us. They have had too many RMA-cases. Since these cards apparently were prone to overheating, especially the earlier ones, and this was apparently the only way they could make absolutely sure, that they were properly cooled. - So, you may want to somehow pop an active cooler on there. I have scanned the manual (or rather only the English section of it) and made and iso-image of the CD-ROM. I have also snatched the installed drivers of the Windows 98 RetroPC which uses the card, made a 277 MB. ZIP-archive and uploaded it to my website for easy download to anyone who would like a copy. Maybe it can help you, maybe it can't - you won't know until you give it a try, right? Here is the link: https://www.zhixalom.com/files/RetroComputers/Creative_3D_Banshee_CT6760_PCI.zip
