Update from the basement: This hasn't been fun... (Patreon)

Hello my patrons, it's been a week since I've been back from VCF South East and ... well, it's been one hell of a week!

In my last update here, I said I wasn't feeling well and had to cancel my trip to to San Jose for VCF West.

Well, it turned out "not feeling well" was an understatement. What ended up being the case is I had picked up "human malware" at some point before I got home. I've so far escaped getting COVID since the pandemic began and while I knew it was a matter of time, it certainly hasn't made it any more of a pleasant experience. 

Needless to say, I've been sicker than I've probably ever been in my entire life. My temperature skyrocketed over 103F / 39.5C and it was very difficult for me to keep under control. Before VCF West even began, I felt like I was on death's doorstep. My diabetes adds an extra layer of complexity to being sick, and hearing the concern in my doctor's voices made it all that much more distressing. 

Fast forward six days since symptoms began and I'm feeling so much better now. I'm far from totally better and I'm still on anti-virals -- but today I finally feel well good enough to at least sit at my computer and try to get a little work done! Hurrah!

So please bear with me while I try to physically get back to normal. Videos may or may not happen for a bit as I don't have any more videos in the pipeline which I can release. I'll have to play it "by ear" for a bit.
