Hello my patrons! Here is the video that will be released January 29, 2022. It hopefully to be the last video in the TRS-80 Model II series but things didn't exactly go as planned. At least in this video I show hot to use a cheap $18 Gotek as a 8" floppy drive on the TRS-80 with inexpensive parts.

My hand is getting better so I'm going to be editing some videos this coming weekend and perhaps I'll shoot another C64 repair. I'm not totally sure how my hand will cooperate if I have to desolder things, but I can at least try. This particular video I made before my hand surgery -- in fact the next few videos will all be pre-surgery. (In case you're wondering)

Thanks for all the support!

Using an $18 Gotek floppy emulator in place of a 8" floppy drive

#gotek #trs80 #refurbish In the latest installment of the TRS-80 Model II saga, I try to clean up and polish the case of the computer, then reassemble it so I can use it. Then I show how to get a cheap Gotek floppy emulator working in place of a 8" disk drive. Thank you so much for the FlashFloppy project on Github. You, sir, are the BEST!!! I loved the rest of the video too, of course. I am enamored with your problem solving so very much. Thanks again for your great content.
