Hello my patrons! It's time for another episode of PC Archeology! I just love investigating these old PCs especially ones where someone tried to make something interesting but clearly failed in the marketplace. This beat up old computer clearly was well used (and hopefully loved) but it's also a good example of how these early laptops were so often compromised and really, well sucked!

It's fun to still document this lost relic as someone clearly did put effort into making this computer, even if has almost entirely been completely forgotten.

Thanks for all your support!

PC Archeology: What is this mystery laptop and could it still work? (Altima Systems)

It's been a while since we did an episode of PC Archeology and I thought this funny old mystery laptop was perfect for us to dig into. Let's tour this machine and dig into what it was used for and how it works. I recall using this software in the physics lab in high school. This would have been around 1998. The computers in the physics lab were quite a bit older than what we had in the computer labs. There was some sort of interface box that plugged into various sensors and such. We would do labs using photogates to measure the speed of things.

Have you taken a look at the contents of folder SULI? That sounds like an old game and would be super suprising to see on this machine
