Hello my patrons! I hope everyone has been enjoying the Plexus P/20 series over on the main channel. Hopefully you're not sick of it yet because there are five parts I have made so far. It's been quite the journey and working on the machine and the community has been so fun.

I'm at a good stopping point for the Plexus, at least for now, so I'm going to try to work on some Mail Call stuff now. I also have VCF Southwest in Dallas coming up, so that'll eat into a bit of my free time but I think it's going to be really fun.

This video here is actually a really quick one (for real this time!) that will surely do badly. YouTube always says passive aggressive things like "People are watching this video for less time, so it's being suggested less" which is obvious, because of course they are watching it less, it's much shorter. LOL! Anyway it was fun to learn to finally tin something for the first time in my life, and I think it turned out pretty good.... This is considering how this card looked when I found it!

Anyway hope everyone is having a great June so far! Thanks for all the support!

I need to deal with the corroded pins on the trashpicked CGA card

I recently found a corroded IBM CGA card in a scrap pile and brought it back to life using some chemicals to remove corrosion. I than movidied the card with some hacks to see if I could speed it up. Now it's time to try to make sure this card lasts in the long run. We can't leave exposed copper on the edge connector or it'll just corroded again. Time to fix that! Markintosh

Nice!! How did it hold up to being plugged in a few times? I remember you were concerned it could leave solder in the board’s connector.

Seems fine. It's exactly like the cheap PCBs from China... My XTIDE is like that and it does get dodgy eventually after a while to on insertion cycles

There is something almost therapeutic about watching soldering. Not quite ASMR, but watching the solder melt and flow is always somewhat satisfying to me.
