Hello my patrons! Hot off the presses, my next SMMC episode. As you can see by the thumbnail one of the items in this episode allow us to replace a PC AT PSU with something a bit more modern and allows you to run the whole system off USB Type-C PD. We also have a really nice caching 386DX motherboard that has a really curious and unusual BIOS.

Thanks for all of your support!

Bill Allen

Hey Adrian, wow, cool stuff! btw, that motherboard deserves a full build with all the trimmings ;-)

J and J's 8-bit Retro and Repair

I have to concur with @Bill Allen that the 386 you received deserves a proper home (case) and power setup. Now that you have some Pico ATXs you could make it a 386 mini build with 12V barrel jack power. Just need the right slim line case and 90 degree ISA riser.

Heh yeah that would be quite nifty -- I have stashed it away for when a good case shows up. I would need just a 2 slot riser for VGA and sound since everything else is built right in.
