About Fingerstyle Guitar

With fingerstyle guitar techniques, we learn to be our own rhythm section - to play lead & rhythm guitar simultaneously.

Except for the fact that it's great, creative fun, it is also a wonderful way to learn music in a more holistic, thorough manner.

Rather then "isolating" lead guitar techniques & skills (scales, melodic phrasing, etc.) we learn them inside the overall structure of groove (rhythmic pattern) & harmony (bass lines / arpeggios).

This wires the brain in a more musical way so that you learn how scales actually sound in a melodic/harmonic contexts.
