A clear, personal practice routine is one of the most effective ways to see quick progress in your playing.

In this video I talk about the (often unconscious) "inner battle" that many people experience when they sit down to practice, and how clarity is the key to resolution, alignment and harmonic progress.

Understanding why we do certain coordination exercises, how they serve our higher purpose and having realistic expectations are key aspects to improvement and a feeling of accomplishment.

Frustration often occurs when there is lack of clarity regarding:

- What are we actually suppose to do when we sit down to practice

- The purpose of what we're practicing and how to actually improve

- Lack of fun / feeling of success & progress

A practice routine - example

I have uploaded an example of a practice routine.

As you can see, I often use the metronome to give clear, small-step goals of improving speed & coordination, and short videos (I make during the lessons) to remind you how to practice and what to focus on when you practice.

The assignments between the lessons are helping to solidify and ground your progress.
