In this post I share a video I took in a rehearsal with Linnet van der Wal, A Dutch singer and singing coach I accompany in theater and concerts in the Netherlands.

The video contains a 5 minutes excerpt from a rehearsal, followed by a 7 minutes breakdown of the techniques & musical principles I used here.

We were working on "Learning to fly" - an original song by Linnet. 

In the breakdown section I share with you how I am applying the rhythmic techniques I often talk about in my tutorials to a real, musical setting, creating a rich, dynamic musical arrangement even in a duo setting.

Notice the energy build up which is created by adding accents & later on foot percussion, and how the use of the foot percussion affects the way I use the acoustic guitar.
