I have a small question about mage craft mainly about its fundamentals. magecraft runes off of mystery but when I look up online about fate mage craft it tells me that while it runs off mystery as humans become capable of doing more things, stuff that was once considered magic becomes possible with mage craft because humans now have the capability to do something that they once could not do. This confuses me because in order for humans to learn to do something they must learn and gain knowledge to do so but this would then result in the death of mystery and thus the decline of mage craft. This is also confusing because, in many of your videos, you explain the age of gods magecraft was more powerful than magecraft of the modern day but back then humans had very little knowledge of the world and very little capability to do the things that modern-day human can do with technology which should mean that there was very little magecraft that they could perform. For example, humans nowadays can see things from other plays by looking through cameras which by definition of magecraft is something that can be done with modern magecraft but should not have been possible with magecraft back in the age of gods and should have instead have been considered magic. In addition, there is also some confusion I have about what makes magecraft magecraft. what I mean is that some stuff that is said to be acts of magecraft seem more like magic because it is impossible for humans with any amount of knowledge to be able to do with technology what they are doing with magecraft. an example of this I think would be corp familiars, mages turn the corpses of animals into a familiar for them to perform recognizance for them. while this could be said to be similar to using drones to do stuff remotely the very magical aspect to me is that they are actually reanimating a corps to do their bidding using mana/ prana to turn the dead creature into a living thing in a sense. this also goes on to another point involving necromancy. while you touched on this part briefly you said that necromancers can use the corpse of the dead as a servant and command them to fight and do stuff. this seems to be less like magecraft and more like magic to me. In sort what makes magecraft different from magic and how can magecraft become more powerful when humans become capable of doing more stuff yet weaker because of the death of mystery they course in becoming capable of doing said stuff?

It's not just being capable of doing stuff that ruins mystery, but the fact that you no longer believe it to be supernatural. In a way, mages profit from other people's worship. But yes, learning more about Magecraft inherently reduces mystery, which is why most mages try to be secretive about their craft. Waver, on the other hand, is controversial since he can dissect and reveal other mages secrets. That said, it's meant to be a constant contradiction.

Ok, thanks while I am not new to the fate universe I would still call myself a novice so thank you for the clarification. Also, love your video
