The doubt in Bridget "choosing" to be female comes from the fact that you can't separate it from how and WHY she was raised as female. If Bridget always like "girly" things from a young age, it would a different story. That fact that she was forced into this way of living must have had some impact on her mentally and that will always raise doubts about how valid the "choice" is.

One of the things that doesn't get talked about much is the simple fact that we don't have the tech to change a person from male to female and vice versa. Getting surgery and using hormones doesn't change the foundational fact of X and Y chromosomes. Many people see the medical aspect as simple mutilation of the human body because of a mental disorder which the psychiatric community still defines as a disorder. Perhaps one day science will be able to convert a person from one sex to another which will render the point moot since the trans person would then have internal organs capable of reproduction but until then, I don't see the idea of being "trans" as fully valid.

Valid points made, I mean having th surgery isn't enough to turn someone trans, but sometimes we have to deal with the consequences of our actions, and most of these people including Ishwatari should know that there are consequences for what they are doing let alone should live with those consequences
