How Can Media Age Poorly?

Thumbnail art made by Yorukun: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/7382203 Critics often like to say that works have aged poorly, that they no longer fit modern sensibilities. This CAN be a valid take, but most of the time it's just people complaining about things they don't like, and trying to act like the rest of society agrees. This video is fair use under U.S. copyright law because it is (1) transformative in nature, the video is a journalistic commentary on popular media (2) uses no more of the original work than necessary for the video's purpose, the claimed duration is an edited clip for rhetoric, and (3) does not compete with the original work and could have no negative affect on its market. to me, media ages poorly if there feels to be a sharp decline in enjoyment or interest from the initial interaction and current interaction. I can't think of any personal examples as most games or films I enjoyed ten years ago, I still enjoy today.

That's exactly it. I still love the kinds of things I grew up with, at least when it comes to anime and games.
