Wow... a side of Wheein we rarely get to see! Also let me know if there's any issues with the video, Premiere was being weird when it was exporting the video and its had to check every second of a 2 hour video lol

Wow I pressed play thinking you only recorded the first couple of episodes and here I am an hour later finishing the whole thing! Mamamoo is the only group where I really think deeply about their true personalities away from the cameras, and Wheein first and foremost. I do think she struggled mentally all the way up to even HIP era about her place in the industry. She's talked about it here and some other bits and pieces like her solo appearance on Yu Heeyeols Sketchbook earlier this year. But you can tell from the little glimpses of her friends, especially non-celebs, that she's built a good support system around her in spite of being in the spotlight. She's someone I've admired from afar since Decalmonie released and it really does seem that in the last couple of years she has stepped into a new phase. What I want from her as a fan has changed a lot on the time that I've listened to Mamamoo. Before I felt like RBW absolutely needed to push her forward her solo work but now I'm just happy with whatever Wheein decides to share with us with THEL1VE. Honestly when you put it in perspective of the industry as a whole, Mamamoo has been an insane success story. Aside from being from an initially small company with decent connections, Hwasa has also been the most successful member by far out of the members. Individual success like that usually means the other members get inadvertently pushed into the background. That has happened to so many girl groups in the past; Suzy from MissA, Hyuna from 4Minute, Hani from EXID. In that sense, each Mamamoo member, even Wheein, has carved out a place for themselves to showcase their talents. Moonbyul has been killing it with her Naver NOW show, Solar has been grinding the last year more than most groups do with her variety schedules and her YT channel, and Wheeins EP was both well received and sold pretty well; even probably knowing at the time she wouldn't stick with the company. Sorry for the crazy long message! Didn't even realise how long it was until I finished it. I guess I've been thinking about Mamamoo and Wheein a lot recently aha.

This show solidified Wheein as my ult bias. It's scary how similar our personalities and inner struggles are (at least from what she has shared in public). I think the only major difference we have is our alcohol tolerance lol I'm Yong unnie when it comes to alcohol ㅋㅋ Likewise, I'm really really happy and proud of how far she's come. I'm so excited for what she has in store for us. About the sleeping thing - after watching this before, I began to notice how Wheein and Hwasa would always share beds when they sleep b Wheein sleeps better with someone beside her. You'd notice MoonSun would sleep together in the same room but on separate beds, but WheeSa would always share one even if there are other rooms with separate beds (eg. MooMoo Trip had extra rooms with separate beds but WheeSa still slept in that one room with a king sized bed). Wheein also mentioned on another show that when she had a hard time sleeping, Hwasa went over her to her house to sleep with her. Idk, I find it really adorable and sweet. We all need our own 'Hwasa' in our lives. 🥰 And about hanging out at Han River - See ya there! My bestie and I actually bought tickets to Korea right before covid happened (it got cancelled/refunded because of the pandemic 🥲💔) and we were planning to hang out at Han River cause we've always seen it on k-dramas 😂 Ugh, covid we need you to end soon!! Would be lovely to hangout at a beautiful place with good people.

Lol yea I should’ve put it in the title that it was all the episodes 😂 and I’m with you, I’m still new to Mamamoo compared to you and most others but I feel like Wheein is in a pretty good spot mentally, at least compared to when she recorded this. Can only hope that trend continues and she does what makes her happy 💙

Yea I relate to a lot of her struggles as well, and I’m also a bit of a lightweight (I don’t like getting wasted so I just don’t drink a lot in general 2-3 drinks max) Well that makes sense now, can’t imagine how scary it is dealing with sleep paralysis alone Oh no that really sucks! Stupid covid… but that just means we can plan to meet up next time 👌👌

I think Wheein has definitely changed a lot since this filming. As others mentioned, she has a group of friends that are not celebrities (guys and girls) and has posted lots of hangout photos. When she was talking about being unhappy, I really think the desire to express herself and reveal her real self to her fans did weigh on her. They were fighting to keep the lights on at RBW back then, so they did all kinds of schedules and concepts, and reality shows where they needed to be the expected beagle idols. I can imagine needing to always be happy and excited for the cameras can be taxing, especially when she felt she had a lot more deeper things to share. I also don’t think she would ever be jealous of Hyejin, but I do think she felt that she needed to break free from RBW to show herself fully and have that same chance to make her mark. Going back and listening to Watercolor, it’s like she was directly telling us what she was about to do and exactly why. She’s going to “draw herself and paint it blurry”. I’ll be there to cheer her on for all of it, as well as all the rest of Mamamoo.

Yea I remember feeling a type of way reading the water color lyrics for the first time. I was still pretty new to Mamamoo at the time so I didn’t want to make assumptions but yea it was pretty clear where her head was at that time and leading up to leaving RBW

I didn’t bring myself to watch these whole secret unnie episodes when it was released up until past hip era. And it hit me real hard, how much Wheein is going through all the past years. I enjoyed watching it again with u today knowing how much u cared for Wheein. And I totally agree with u it’s like she is slowly progressively out of the slump she was referring to in the episode little by little like a butterfly and as a fan I’m so proud of her for that. 🥰
