Heya! Happy to New Years to everyone! If you havent been welcomed to 2024 yet, then let me be the one to say I'm happy you survived 2023 c:

January's posting schedule will go as follows:

  • Jan 6th: No Posting
  • Jan 13th: Pie Tier Post ($10)
  • Jan 20th: Muffin Tier Post ($5)
  • Jan 27th: Cheesecake Tier Post ($15)

Now, with the schedule out of the way, here's the part where I give an update on the chaos surrounding my life. Heads up, its a lot, haha

First and foremost I want to thank everyone who saw my ask for help and either pledged, gave me kofis, liked, retweeted and sent their well wishes to me. I really REALLY am so grateful, I'm not even kidding when I tell you some mornings I cried tears of pure joy upon seeing some of the messages left by others. I've always battled with feelings of isolation, loneliness, and the general urge to repress every bad feeling for the sake of not making others worry. So knowing that a bunch of strangers wish well for not just my own wellbeing but my mother's as well genuinely helped me to combat those negative feelings.

So, the 19th of January my mother came home from post-op rehabilitation. We got her a wheelchair and other necessities. The following weeks were rough to say the least, it involved a lot of shouting matches, guilt tripping, and insults (part of it having to do with her going through nicotine withdrawl). It reached a point where the daily arguments got so bad I debated on living in my car for the sake of my mental wellbeing. The only thing stopping me was me being unable to figure out how to do art for patreon when i do it on a pc. But it does get better, I promise.

Despite the rough patch, my family had a decent Christmas holiday and things continued to improve as as occupational therapist came over and helped my mom regain her ability to stand and even walk. She also started eating again, which I cannot digress was such an important development because beforehand she barely ate anything.

As of writing this, my mom is now able to walk with the use of a walker and is in much higher spirits. She seems to be on the track to recovery. The money made since my ask for help has been used to order her prescriptions to help with pain and her overall health, the wheelchair, sanitary supplies, and a new pair of slip-on shoes for her (because her old ones cause pain and were hard to put on)

Again, thank you so much for helping me. Not just monetarily, but emotionally and psychologically.

I hope the new year is not only prosperous for me, but for everyone else as well—friends, mutuals, supporters, everyone. ♡
