Behind the Scenes #2 (Patreon)

So this is the exercise book I used to jot down stats, weapons, types of classes etc. I believe they're called composition books in the USA. These were all just notes to get the ball rolling on the vague idea I had in my head.

A lot of times, when I get an idea, I get like a first scene glimpse that I write out. Then I usually let the idea percolate for a while until it jumps me and begs to be written.

Somnia wasn't like that. It was this overwhelming sense of a game world I wanted to be real, and so I had to sit down and figure out what about it needed to be gamified and how I could go about it. The more I figured out, the clearer it became, and sadly, the more plot threads began to emerge.

I will be sad to see the series end, and while I have a lot of ideas for more stories within the world, I'm not sure it's currently viable to write them. Either way though, Somnia is a series I adore. I hope you all do too.
