These are the geckos guarding under my monitor. It was a Japanese gacha capsule game, but I got it at a gacha store in Gangnam Station in Korea. Probably Black Knight and Tangerine morph.

The joints were partially movable, so it was good to use the 360-degree version as a reference.

I made the eyes bigger and more character-like.

The tail became more chubby and the body became shorter. Hmm.. It would be cute if I drew their legs smaller than they are now, But If I did that, it would be too simple. So I described the baby gecko that way. (Babies looks have thinner legs than adult)

There are 19 geckos and 4 babies. The babies with clear bands were so cute that I thought I should draw them together. There are many more combinations than this.

If you are familiar with leopard geckos, you may be able to guess who is who at this stage...

As far as I know, there are probably a few people here raising leopard geckos 👀   

Most leopard geckos are bright and yellow in color, so I think they would look good on a blue background.  But also a dark background is still a good choice to make character look well...
