The reason for this modification at the sketch stage is to create a simpler silhouette.

The right side will look less complicated and cute when completed than the left.

I was able to draw the octopus' head completely smaller and more rounded. This makes it even cuter. But this time I wanted to give them a bit of a pointy feel as well. Because they're pretty dangerous guys. (Still, it is much more round-shaped than an actual octopus)

This octopus is famous for its deadly poison.

The blue ring blinks as a warning sign indicating poison.

In the initial planning stage, I thought about mixing in octopuses that were in a calm state with barely visible blue rings, but as you can see..... 😎
