I recently worked on dessert icons and box turtles :D

So they naturally came to mind.

It's a series after a fluffy sea pancake.

I drew it with real pancakes, but there are actually pancake tortoise (Malacochersus tornieri). 

They have flat-shelled just like pancake.

Unlike other tortoises, their shells are thin and flat, light and flexible. They can use this feature to hide in crevices of rocks to avoid predators. Because of their unusual shape, they are over-exploitation and are in serious danger of extinction.
