[wip/wallpaper] Penguin day (Patreon)

On World Penguin Day 2018, I drew an emperor penguin baby with dessert concept. It's been 4 years, and I've drawn penguins again :D

World Penguin Day is a celebratory that encourages people to learn more about penguin and their environment. The majority of living penguin species have declining populations.  The main cause is that, as everyone is well aware, their habitat is disappearing due to the climate crisis caused by carbon emissions.

According to the Wiki, there are 17 to 20 species of penguins, and there seems to be some controversy depending on the classification.

In my case, I referenced 18 species from the wiki list.

At first, I unconsciously sketched them standing on the glacier. Then I suddenly wanted to draw them swimming. It is probably more popular for penguins to walk cutely on land with fluffy penguin baby.  But I also love the way they swim smoothly like fish. The fluffy baby penguin will probably have another chance to draw later.

The Crested penguin with yellow eyebrow fur looks like straight eyebrows because the eyebrows stick to the body in the water if you look at the actual data. I wanted to bring out the character a little, so I drew their yellow crested a little bit wave in the water.
