[ study/drawings ] Magpie

I think I wrote down all my thoughts on magpie in this post!

After study, all I had to do was finished it :D

I changed it to a light background in the end.

The dark background shows the green magpie and blue magpie well, but I felt that the black and white magpie was relatively less visible.

It looks pretty much the same, but I did add a very subtle difference.

For example, the Korean magpie is stocky and the blue part of the wings is emphasized, and the Asir magpie has a longer beak...

Haha I know very well it's hard to notice, but please think of it as just the artist's personal satisfaction.

I found this out after writing a study post, but I think I found a very subtle difference between iberian magpie and Azure-winged magpie. The tail of the Azure-winged magpie has a white spot. Oh, of course I'm no expert, so I could be wrong. It may just be the difference between adolescents and adults / male and female...

Thanks for reading!

Yay! I love these! So many different and beautiful magpies. 😍 I wish we had magpies in the Eastern US.

Oh, are there no magpies over there? But I'm sure there will be many other beautiful birds.

It's true! We have their corvid relatives: crows and jays and and ravens, but no magpies. But you're right, there are so many other beautiful birds here. I'm not mad. ☺️

haha yeah, I know what you mean! instead you would have a blue jay and cardinal, which I never saw them in my real life😆

I had no idea there were so many kinds of magpies! They don't live where I am, so I have never seen a magpie in person, only in pictures. Hopefully some day I will see one!

Thanks mo! Yes I heard they are in western North America! Hope you see them in real life someday XD

HiccupsCloud

It's so fun seeing the different types of magpies! I didn't know there were so many varieties ❤ My mom has a magpie family in her back yard. She feeds them regularly, and one time they brought her a gift. It was a old metallic figure ❤ I absolutely love magpies ❤ (we have eurasian magpies where I live)

It has happened to others as well. If they regularly feed them and get a bond together they sometimes brings gifts to you ❤ I've seen people getting lots of different gifts! Some have gotten coins, forks, rings etc ❤😂

WHAT iI've never heard of it before, it's so sweet... Just imagining the coins they bring is so cute 😁💕💕💕
