[wip] Okapi (Patreon)

Actually, there was okapi day in October. (October 18th)

I couldn't finish it on time,, ( I was drawing mushrooms🍄) but every day is cute animal day, so!

Okapi look like zebras, but are said to be related to giraffes.

So another name is forest giraffe and zebra giraffe

Instead of a giraffe's long neck, they have a very long tongue.

I even thought about drawing okapi and giraffe together.

But maybe the giraffe is so famous that maybe the giraffe will be the main character and okapi will look like a sub character, so I only drew okapi.

Color

Personally, I prefer a yellow background when drawing brown/black animals. 

It's about just my taste..... 

And dark objects stand out very well when they are in bright yellow background. and yellow is cheerful color.

On the other hand, a light green background can give you a more comfortable feeling.

I want to give a peaceful feeling in this picture, so I chosen light green background.

But I like the short title, so it's just okapi.
