* idea sketch (2017)

It's the same series that follows the sea slug day that I drew a few days ago.

I've done similar paintings since 2 years ago, but they're simpler and more shrimp this time.

There are many kinds of freshwater shrimp and seaslug.
I could draw more, but...
I think this is the maximum best number on mobile device.

Maybe I drew more than 50 shrimps/seaslugs in one frame before I had a smartphone.

However, more than 80 percent of people see pictures on their mobile phone.
And most people don't click/enlarge the picture.

A few years ago I was not interested  / even don't care in these statistics at all...

I wanted to reveal the picture as soon as I drew it, so I updated it with no worries.

But now I always edit/crop before uploading and test how it looks for finding the best way to look.

So my character deform (design style) is getting simpler when I draw many objects in one frame.

(Most reason is just my cup of tea. I'm becoming more and more fascinated by simplicity.)

If the art is food, the way it is shown is a plate 🤔

(But Instagram always feels difficult.. haha.)

Anyway, here is WIP gif!

Most shrimps are Neocaridina & caridina.

At first, I was going to draw two separate species, but then I decided to add some more other shrimp like bamboo, and give it a title as freshwater shrimp.

Because most shrimps I've painted are freshwater shrimps, and most people mistake it for marine life.

Anyway, the title made it clear that they were freshwater shrimps😁

And here is the version I wrote about shrimp's name!

I think the names from country to country are a little different. For example, Amano is called 'yamato shrimp' in Korea.

Thank you!
