The Dragon Sect’s sect master did not hesitate to pull out his sword and slash out. The grand elder of the Celestial Heaven Sect had no time to react before his head fell from its perch and bounced off the ground before slowing to a stop in front of the Dragon Sect’s sect master’s feet. He reached down and picked it up, and tossed it to one of his elders at the side. “Send this to the Celestial Heaven Sect and tell him war is all that they will receive from the Dragon Sect. From this moment on, I want every member of the Dragon Sect to be ready to fight! We will no longer stand for a sect that uses the mystic races as tonics. We will rid the mortal plane of any and all sects who dare to do such a thing.”

“Yes Sect Master!” The elders all shouted in unison before quickly getting to work. The Dragon Sect’s sect master nodded in approval. He had raised good people over the years.

“So I was hoping you could take her under your wing while we finish up everything on the outside.” Yuki sat with Chi in her lap as she looked at her sect master.

“I don’t mind. With everything you have done for the sect, there is no way I can refuse a request from you. But are you sure she will be okay with it? She seems highly attached to you.” Yuki’s sect master looked at Chi, who was eying him wryly while holding onto Yuki’s hands for dear life. The fox girl was not trusting of others in any shape or form.

“Don’t worry, she will be fine. Right Chi?” Yuki looked at Chi, who looked back at her and nodded slightly. Yuki smiled and said: “She knows you mean no harm, but she is still tense around others. While I do wish to stay a little longer until she is feeling more secure, right now, I can not waste any more time. The Celestial Heaven Sect might have my mother and some of the dragonkin. If there is even the slightest chance of my mother being alive, I will do everything in my power to bring her back.”

“I understand.” Yuki’s sect master nodded. He then looked at Chi and smiled warmly. “Child, if you trust Yuki, then trust the people she is willing to trust to take care of you in her absence. I will help you grow stronger while she takes revenge for you and the rest of your clan.” 

Chi bit her lip before looking at Yuki. Seeing Yuki nod at her Chi finally let go of Yuki and stood up and bowed her head. “I will be in your care.”

“Good! I promise you I will help you grow stronger. Just work hard to grow stronger.” Yuki sect master did not know how far this little fox could go but he was willing to help her as much as he could to grow stronger in Yuki’s absence. 

“Thank you.” Yuki stood up and wrapped her arms around Chi, kissing her cheek. “Don’t worry about anything, and just work hard. When I get back, I will help  you grow even stronger faster, okay?”

“Mm… Thanks Yuki….” Chi smiled a real smile. She liked it when Yuki kissed her cheek. It made her feel warm inside.

“Then I will be off. Remember Chi, slow and steady to start. Build up your body fortification each step at a time. You can use the body strengthening technique as well. It will help push your body fortification realm even further.” After giving Chi a few pats on the head, Yuki left her sect master’s immortal cave. When she exited, Delia, Nana, Silvia, and Selene were all standing there waiting for her. “Let’s go dye this continent in blood.”

“Sounds like a wonderful date!” Delia beamed a smile. Nana and the others chuckled at Delia’s response.

After Yuki and the others left the mountain, Haruhi entered her Master’s immortal cave. “They left.”

“Mmm…. Haruhi, the sect is under your control now. I will be working with this little one to help her grow stronger while Yuki and the others are gone. You do not need to worry about anything else. They will deal with our enemies, and we will deal with making sure their home and family are safe and secure. We owe them this much.” Yuki’s sect master knew that Yuki and the girls saw this place as their home and did not wish for that home to disappear anytime soon.

“I know. I never planned to allow this place to fall apart. They have saved and avenged the lives of everyone. We can not fail them when they are putting their trust in us. Especially Yuki. Who would have thought that that little girl I met that day would turn out to be so powerful in such a short time? I knew she would one day become someone great, but I never thought it would be like this.” Haruhi remembered the day they first met. The young girl stood up to a senior without flinching. Her unwavering attitude is what made her like the girl the most. Sadly for her, it was not meant to be. They would always be of two different worlds. She never planned to leave the mortal plane. She could never leave her master behind.
