As Benimaru and the rest began to blow things up, Tomoya sat with Souka at the side, writing in her guidebook. “Tomoya-sama, may I ask what exactly you are writing?”

“Hmmm? I am just noting down my journey. Everything I do, everything I see. All of it gets written in this book.” Tomoya replied. This guide to the multiverse has always been a mystery to Tomoya. She had been using it as a diary basically, but she really wondered what it was for. The stupid goddess never explained anything. Normally, she did not think too much about it, but when someone asked, she couldn't help but wonder.

“You seem to be almost out of pages.” Souka noticed that the page Tomoya was on looked like the last page.

“This book never runs out of pages. It will always have another page after this one is filled.” Tomoya replied, and to prove what she said, she finished her page and turned it. And sure enough, another page appeared.

“An interesting item. Although we Lizardmen are not known for writing nor reading.” Souka did find it interesting, but she was more of a warrior and wanted to grow stronger. Reading and writing were not her thing. But it seemed strength was not always about hard work either.

“I normally write the daily happenings at night, but today, I am writing it as I watch the battle since I do not want to miss a single detail. Like look how Benimaru is doing such massive large-scale attacks, and Shion is completely destroying mass waves of orcs. Just the sheer volume of their attacks is enough to prove how strong they are. If I do not have this written down  for those who will read this in the future, No one will know the exact details of what happened here today.” Tomoya did not know if she would ever die, nor did she know what the future would bring. She might even lose her guidebook at some point. But one thing was for sure: she was writing these words not for others but herself. She wanted the world to know that she Tomoya was once alive. No matter which planet she ends up on or where this guidebook disappears to, she wants those who come after to know she was once alive.

She was basically immortalizing her journey in text format. Something that was hardly ever done anymore. But it was also the best way to go. While some might think what Tomoya was doing was useless, Tomoya did not think so. She enjoyed what she was doing, and that was all that mattered.

As Tomoya wrote in her guidebook, Remmi was watching the battle from the sky. Her bat wings flapped ever so gently as she looked at the scene before her. “At the rate things are going, I won’t even get to fight…. Will Tomo up my training more if I don’t fight?”

Remmi pouted. She knew Tomoya was helping her train for her own good, but she still felt bitter about how spartan Tomoya could be. But she also understood the spartan she was seeing was nothing compared to Kaori and the rest. She had heard many stories. Some of which sent shivers down her spine. So she could only feel lucky that she was not with them at that time, or she might have become a whole different person. Although, deep down, she felt as if she really did become a new person. Well, she did become a slime, but mentally, that is.

“Hmmm? Who’s that?” A strange, masked-faced man with a tophat appeared on the battlefield. “He’s yelling at Shion? Is he an idiot?”

“What the hell do you think you guys are doing!? Making a mess of my master plan!” The strange masked man yelled out in anger while shaking his fists and Shion.

Remmi watched as he ignored everyone and turned to look at the giant orc lord standing there. “And you! You idiot! If only you have evolved into a demon lord already! A greater demon like me would have no reason to have to make a move at all!”

“Oh? You want to make him a demon lord?” A voice came right next to his ear. The next thing the masked man felt was his entire body being smashed into the ground.

*Boom!*

Shion's blade was turned sideways and slammed down onto the top of the masked man’s head, flattening his tophat in the process. “You wanted to create a fucking demon lord, so you created an orc lord to start a rampage!? Do you know how many of my kin died!?”

“Shion’s mad….” Benimaru slowly began to back up. He did not wish to be caught in what was about to happen. He could only flinch with every strike Shion gave to the masked man. The masked man’s body was basically being drilled into the ground.

“Enough!” The masked man suddenly shouted before thrusting out his hand and shooting off a beam of light. “Die!”

“Huh?” Shion snorted and swiped at the beam of light with her sword, reflecting it into the crowd of orcs. “What was that!? A bug!?”

I like how Remmi still hasn't figured out how she has been retconned for shuushuu reasons.
