The whole place went quiet. It was true. If Shizuku really wished to kill someone, why would she go through the trouble of taking over their body? She could just easily cause their heads or hearts to explode, killing them instantly. When this thought came to mind, everyone present felt a cold shiver run down their backs.

“I-I see…. Remind me not to get on your bad side….” Lishia was the first to speak, albeit a little nervously. She just made it known that although Shizuku was of a lower level, she could easily kill her without needing to try. Shizuku had also only learned this just now, so she was quite surprised herself. But at the same time, she was also very happy to know that her powers were much more overpowered than she had thought.

This did not mean she was going to rush into the church and start slaughtering people. She was not stupid enough to think she was omnipotent at this time. She did not even know if her skill would work against every kind of magic out there. She did not know enough to make careless decisions. But this did mean she could at least protect herself and her loved ones for the time being.

“So, I know this might not be any of my business, but I was wondering why a Fallen was this far inland. Did you come here on a mission?” Lishia seemed to want to change the subject.

“Umm…. You can consider me a gift from Goddess Yunni. I am a summoned hero, formerly human, but changed into what you see now. I was kicked out of the church for turning into a Fallen, which was good since those fucking bastards are nothing but sick fucks.” Shizuku anger started to explode just thinking about the church.

Lishia and the others were all taken aback. They did not expect to see such a strong reaction from Shizuku. “I won’t say what they have done since it will bring shame on my friends, but just know that the priest of the church inside the capital of this so-called holy kingdom is fucking sick, and all deserve to die.”

“Shizu….” Miyumi pulled on Shizuku’s arm, trying to get her to calm down.

“Ah… Sorry.” Shizuku snapped out of it. Her anger was making the blood in her staff boil. Miyumi was afraid it would burst, and something bad would happen.

Lishia did not know what to say. She knew she seemed to have stepped on a sour subject. She just never expected such a reaction. She began to wonder just what did the church do to Shizuku and her friends. But to think that the church would kick out a summoned hero even if she had become a Fallen. This was Goddess Yunni’s doing so how could then deem it evil? “Sorry I made you remember something bad.”

“No, it’s fine. It is just a touchy subject for me.” Shizuku scratched her head.

“So, where are you headed after this dungeon?” Lishia asked, hoping not to touch any bad subjects again.

“Dracluna. We are headed to Fallen territory. While I have been quite a few good people here in the human territory, including my adoptive mother, I am not really willing to stay in a place that looks down on me just because of my race.” Shizuku replied. While the Japanese were not the best when it came to foreigners, they were still nice to those who were not rude to others. Many of the older generation had their own views, though, and would not be so kind to outsiders. But it also depended on the place as well. The same could be said for any country out there on Earth.

“That is true. They might have to let you through since you are an adventurer, but that is about all. If you die, you die. The same goes for humans in some Fallen territories. I know a few people who were eaten alive in the Citadel, the capital of the Undead race. They said some rude things to an undead girl and ended up being ripped to shreds in the middle of the street.

“As adventurers, we go into these places risking our lives. One wrong step could get us killed. It is not because we are human and they are undead or some other race; it is because we do not fully understand their customs and rules. One must investigate a place thoroughly before heading there. Like if you go to the beast kingdom, you have to be careful not to touch a man’s tail. They will instantly kill you.

“Elves will always look down on you, and if you even dare try to hit on one, you will be sent to jail and never seen again. Dwarves are a little kinder and will just exile you from their land if you touch any of their ore without asking. The mermen are different, though. They will do the same as the undead and eat you alive if you dare to cause any of their kin harm.

“Basically, as long as you follow the rules of their lands, you will not come to any harm. The undead welcome outsiders as long as you are kind to them. They will treat you the same as you treat them. I only suggest being careful in human and elf territories as we humans and elves are more known for our arrogance.”
