Gabiru looked up at the fox girl who was staring at him with narrowed eyes and felt a great pressure weighing down on him. “You dare, look at Tomoya-sama!” Shion yelled out causing another massive pressure to weigh down on Gabiru. 

He was starting to think he had come to the wrong place. He did not know where all these powerful-looking people came from. Wasn’t this supposed to be a bunch of goblins here? Why did it turn into a beastkin, oni, and hobgoblin fiesta? He looked over at his own companions, who all shrugged in confusion as well.

He took a deep breath, looked at Tomoya, and said: “I, the great Gabiru…. Ouch! Why won’t you let me speak!?” 

“Because you are loud and annoying. Have someone else speak softly. If they yell, I kill them.” Tomoya was actually having fun. This idiot was good entertainment. His friends all propped him up so much that his ego was through the roof. But he was indeed a good fighter. He was just stupid.

“But…. I…. The great Gabiru… Ouch! My foot!” Gabiru cried out.

“Hey, what’s going on here?” Gobta walked over with a curious expression.

“I know.” Tomoya used her tail, wrapped it around Gobta, and flung him to the front.

“Ouch! Tomoya-sama, why did you do that!?” Gobta cried out. He did not do anything wrong, did he?

“Gobta, you will fight this idiot. If you win, I will get Kaijin to make you a weapon…. But if you lose, I will have you take Benimaru’s place as Shion’s food taste tester.” Tomoya announced, causing Gobta to shrink back in fear. He did not wish to become a taste tester! He saw how Benimaru almost died every time he was forced to eat that goop!

“I will win!” Gobta’s body was on fire. He had to win no matter what.

“Huh? What’s going on?” Gabiru was very confused as to what was happening at this time.

“It’s simple. Idiot guy, all you have to do is win against little old Gobta here, and we will follow you into battle.” Tomoya replied with an evil smirk.

“Oh! So you have seen my greatness!” Gabiru nodded and stepped forward. “I will show you I am worthy to have you all follow me!” 

“Gabiru!” “Gabiru!”  “Gabiru!” “Gabiru!”

Gabiru stuck his nose in the air. He loved being praised. He couldn’t wait to take all these powerful-looking people under his command…. Or so he dreamt.

Not even three minutes later…..

“Why was he so weak!” Gobta did not understand. Gabiru seemed to have nothing but self-monologues, so as soon as he started speaking, Gobta attacked, taking him down instantly.

“Gobta, it’s just that you are stronger at this time. He had just evolved so it is not far to pick on someone. Anyway, I will go see Kaijin later to get you a weapon.” Tomoya smiled as she looked at the other lizardmen. “Take him and get lost.” 

“Right! We will not forget this!” one of Gabiru’s men yelled out before running away as fast as he could.

“Souei, can you go talk with the leader of the lizardman? We should make an alliance just in case.” Tomoya asked.

“As you wish!” Souei disappeared, leaving the others standing there looking at the retreating backs of the lizard men.

“Tomo…” Remmi walked up and pulled on Tomoya’s shirt. “Are we going to war?”

“From our intel, the orcs are moving into lizardman territory. And I promised Benimaru and the others I would help them get revenge for what happened to their clansmen. But don’t worry. We are strong.” Tomoya patted the top of Remmi’s head. “You are the second strongest person here in the village. You should have more confidence in yourself.” 

“Mmm…  I will work hard.” Remmi smiled and nodded. Tomoya could only sigh. She did not know why Remmi was so much different than in the original story. Did her changing Remmi’s sex and doing her make Remmi weak-minded? Tomoya did not know, but she had to work harder to get Remmi more confident.

“Tomo is right!” Shion put her hands on her hips and smiled. “As long as we work together, we can take care of everything.”

“Shion, will you choose what you call me? First it was Tomoya-sama not is Tomo.” Tomoya did not really mind, but Shion was always calling her different things.

“Tomo, it is different in private over business. I can not allow myself to call you Tomo when outsiders are around. It will make you look weak. As our leader, you must be treated with the respect a leader deserves.” Shion answered with a firm nod. Benimaru and the rest also nodded.

“Leader? Remmi is the leader?” Tomoya wanted Remmi to have more confidence, so she needed Remmi to stand at the top. Shion and the others all looked at Remmi in confusion, which made Remmi shrink back. 

“Alright, stop staring at her. It is true that she is the leader. I decided this when we first came to assist the goblins here. So please give Remmi the respect she deserves.”
