A few hours later, Kevin came up to talk to me. “Boss, I talked the stubborn fool into following us.”

“I am glad it all worked out.” I let out a sigh of relief.  “I will open a portal. Since he trusts you, I will leave things to you. Jen and I will go talk to the scientist.”

“Leave it to me, boss!” Kevin saluted before turning around and going back into the bunker.

A while later, I sent everyone through the portal before closing it and opening another. This one was to my parents’ lab. “Mom.”

“Good, you are here. You should know your father forced the newcomers to cough everything up. Those guys were like little fanboys when they met your father.” My mother snorted as she pulled me and Jen into a rest area. We sat on the couch in the middle of the room.

“So, what did you find out about this mysterious race?” I asked. I was very curious about all of this.

“From what I understand, they are not fishmen or anything like that. They seemed to be a higher form of humans. The word Atlantis should ring a bell, no?” I nodded at my mother’s question.

“Well, these high humans, as they call them, are from an era far in our past. Todays, humans had yet to evolve, and they are the first humans on this world. But during that time, dinosaurs still roamed the lands. Or what was left of them anyway. They did not know if what they were telling me was true or not.

“But the gist of it is that the high humans built Atlantis and, over time, slowly turned it into a city that could go underwater. The only thing about this is that the city could move freely within the ocean. They had once allowed the city to rise to the surface during the early era of humanity, but when they saw that humans were not worth helping out, they sank back into the ocean. Now, they basically hold the governments hostage due to their advanced technology that could wipe an entire country out in the blink of an eye. They began to share small bits of knowledge as well that allowed countries to secretly fly to the ends of the solar system.

“From the looks of it all, just the fact that the high humans were having us build a spaceship for them big enough to house their entire civilization means they probably knew this was coming.” My mother’s assumption might just be right. But what irked me was why I did not get the full story.

“So those bastards lied to me?” I asked while pursing my lips.

“Not necessarily. This was all told by an old man who was in his seventies. You might not have even spoken to him about it.” Now that I think about it, there was indeed an old man who was way up there in age. I did not speak to him either.

“Well, at any rate. We will need a method of contacting these so called high humans. I know we can not do it anytime soon, but in the future, we can try to force them to our side. After all, as of now, they are stuck here without the ship.” I did not know how powerful these high humans were, but if they think that they were just going to sit under the ocean waves and leave the the land to the replicators, then they had another thing coming to them.

“What do you plan to do with that ship?” My mother asked.

“Mm… repurpose it. I am not leaving this planet. I will not give up on our home world. We can take our time and work hard. Build up our resources and better our weapons. Wait out the heat and wait for the cold weather. Until then, I will continue my current methods of dealing with things. Going out and trying to bring back as many people as I can. As long as we can save more people, the more likely for us to succeed. The second wave will come. When it does, things will be more difficult to deal with. But with such a big ship, I wondered what would happen if we turned it into a massive bomb and sent it towards the dimensional tear?” My idea was simple. We could use it for our own uses or turn it into a bomb with a massive phase generator as its core.

I have made phase bombs before, but one on this scale is just insane. But if it worked…. It might cause serious damage to the other side if we can get it close enough without being destroyed.

“We will try to work something out and make some simulations to see if it is plausible. But Ai, do not get your hopes up. The robots might be able to block such a  large target easily.” I knew it was wishful thinking, but I could not think of any other decent use for such a big ship.

“I will leave it to you. I know you and dad, along with the helpers, will be able to come up with even better weapons in the future.”
