“You’re here.” Jackie’s father smiled as he saw the three girls walk in. 

“You wanted to speak to Jas, right?” Jackie asked as she eyed her father. She was ready for a fight at any moment.

“More like I want to take Jas here under my wing.” Jackie was stunned by her father’s words. She had yet to say anything to him about the Jas yet, but he already…. She suddenly realized something and looked back at Bret, who quickly turned his head away. 

“Dad, are you saying you wish to sign Jas?” Jackie asked.

“First, sit. What is the point of standing when we are talking?” Jackie’s father got up from his chair and walked over to the couch where he normally had his meetings. There were two maroon colored couches with a coffee table in between them facing one another. 

Jasmine was in a state of confusion while Stacey pulled her to sit down. She had no idea what was going on. She was expecting to get yelled at, but now it seemed she was going to sign something.

“Miss Woods, I am Jackie’s father. My name is George Heartland. And as I just said, I wish to sign you as our flagship star in the new branch I plan to open. I want to move into the entertainment industry.” George explained lightly.

“Wait…. I haven’t even released anything yet. I haven’t even finished a song yet….” Jasmine was still very confused. She did not understand what was going on!

“Oh? But I think this is enough for me to make such a decision.” George pulled out his phone and began playing the song that Stacey had recorded before.

“This… But this isn’t even finished…” Jasmine did not think she was worthy of a contract with anyone until she finished her song.

“No. It is enough for me to want to invest in you. Your voice alone is already enough to want to sign you. The lyrics that you are writing are enough to make me want to turn into a fan girl. You do not understand that your voice and lyrics are able to suck people in. They pierce into the soul of a person and make them see and feel everything you see and feel when you sing.” George replied. He was trying to cut off any route of escape. “At least look at the contract.”

“Alright….” Jasmine nodded. She could at least look at the contract and see what it said.

“Jas, let me read it first, then I will explain it to you.” Jackie reached out and intercepted the contact her father was trying to hand to Jasmine. George was about to say something to this daughter of his, but when he saw that Jasmine did not say anything, he decided to keep his mouth shut.

“Dad, are you serious!?” Jackie jumped up and looked at her father in shock. “This contract basically makes it so that Jas gets ninety percent of everything! On top of that, it’s a five million sign on bonus plus a car with a driver and two condos!” 

“I have never been so serious in my entire life. The thing we lack least is money! What we lack is a talent that is worth putting money into. I want Jas to become our company’s flagship. She will be the one to lead our company into the entertainment industry. I would not offer such good terms if she was someone else. Only she will get this kind of contract.” George replied. He was very serious about signing Jasmine, and he wanted to make sure that all the terms were in her favor.

Jackie sat back down and handed the contract to Jasmine. “Sign it. Sign it before he decides to change his mind.” 

“This… Is it really okay?” Jasmine was shaking. She did not know if this was all real or just a dream. She had always wanted to enter the entertainment industry and sell her music. But now…. Tears began to stream down her face. 

“What’s wrong!?” George was starting to panic. He wondered if he had done something wrong! The last thing he wanted was to make the girl cry!

“Uncle George, it’s fine. Jas is just shocked and happy. This has always been her dream.” Stacey said as she smiled warmly at Jasmine and reached up to wipe her tears. “You should sign it. This is what you always wanted. I will be with you every step of the way. No, we will be with you.”

“Mmm…” Jasmine smiled and nodded her head as she sniffed. She couldn’t stop the tears, but she could at least sign the contract.

George looked at the signed contract in his hands and felt very good. He looked up at the girl who was now being hugged by his daughter and a girl who he thought of as his daughter and wondered just how these three got together like this. “Now that that is signed. Jackie, you will be her manager. And you will be moving in with her. If you make her unhappy, do not call me your father ever again!” 

“Dad! Whose actually your daughter!?” Jackie was stunned. Did her father just sell her!?

“You are with Jas, right? Then, make sure you treat her well. If not, forget about coming back home!” George was doing this because he wanted to make sure no matter what, Jasmine would be linked to his family. “Anyway…” Not caring for the expression his daughter was making, he looked at Jasmine and said: “Everything in the contract will be handed over today. Bret will bring you downstairs to meet your new driver and also a bodyguard. You should go back home and speak with your grandparents as well. Let them know what is going on. Please try to move as soon as possible.”
