Apple Girl is looking at me as if I have ten heads. Which I know is a lie since I only have one. Ah, she fell…. “Hey, Apple Girl. You okay?”

“Huh!?” Apple Girl looked up at me as she tried to stumble back to her feet when I heard yelling coming from not too far away.

“She went through here!” A male voice yelled out. Apple Girl turned her emerald green eyes towards the sound of the voices only to see a group of men come out from the tree line. “Princess Alice, just accept your fate. You will…..”

The man in black clothes who was in the lead tilted his head to look at me. I looked back at him and took a bite of my fish. After chewing and swallowing my bite, I said: “You can’t have any either!”

“I don’t want any!” The man yelled out. I wonder what got into him. “Wait! Why is a lizard even talking!?”

“What lizard!? I am a bonafide dragon! If you don’t believe me, I can breathe on you!” I yelled out with my nose in the air. I was quite proud of my dragon heritage now that I knew I was a dragon.

“Bull shit! You are a lizard. Everyone knows dragons have long died off!” The man seemed quite sure I was a lizard.

“Appraisal!” I hummed as I pursed my lips as best as a dragon can purse lips…

Is my appraisal too low to see more than this on humans? Or is it because he is a higher level than me? Well, in any case, he seems determined to make my prove myself so…. “Since Weird Eye Guy doesn’t believe me, I will just prove it!”

I stepped in front of Apple Girl, took a deep breath, and… “Ice Breath!”

As I exhaled, a stream of blue flowed from my mouth. Everything in front of me in a cone suddenly turned into ice cubes. This includes the six or so men in black as well. I err… Maybe I shouldn’t have aimed for them? Well, at any rate, when he thaws out, they will finally praise me for being an almighty dragon…. Or so I thought….

All the ice statues shattered into trillions of tiny specks of ice. Now I know I should be like, oh my god, I killed someone, but I never ever felt like that was an issue. I mean, people kill animals all the time. I am currently a dragon, dragons kill things. So I am just doing what I should do? Or is it just that I never did care too much about such things? Either way, Apple Girl should now realize how awesome I am. 

I turned and looked at Apple Girl with a proud expression. She was still staring at the specks of ice in the air that were floating away. “Ahem! And so, I, Shiro, the amazing Ice Dragon, have proven I was right! I am one hundred percent dragon!”

“Huh? You… Dragon…. You…. Saved me!?” Apple Girl swayed, slumped to the ground, and then passed out…. What kind of person comes to someone’s yard and passes out? Is she drunk!? I guess that doesn’t really matter. I actually leveled up! Which means I now have five more points. I walked back over towards my campfire only to hear a strange sound underfoot. I looked down to see Apple Girl’s face under my left hind leg. I will just pretend I didn’t see anything.

I sat back down next to my fire and finished my food. I went through the list of skills I could choose from. While there were many spells I could take, like ice arrow and water slicer for 1 SP and 5 Sp, respectfully. I did not take those because I found an interesting spell at the very bottom of the list of available spells for 5 SP. Everyday Magic. It was a skill set. Meaning I could get five spells for the price of one or more like 1 SP each but bundled under a single skill. 

This allowed me to use a magic called Refresh. It cleaned the target’s body. Very helpful for times when I can not bathe. Although, I would still prefer a hot bath. The second spell was called Ignite. One of the most important spells! It allow me to create a small flame as if I was using a lighter. No more spinning sticks! 

The third spell in the list was Lighting. It is nothing more than a small ball of light that illuminates your surroundings. The fourth spell in the bundle was Drink. A strange name, but it allowed you to fill a cup of water. This saves me from having to make buckets. This does not mean I will get rid of the water in my inventory. That can be used to fill a bath once I make one. Which I will need the fireball spell for. Ignite won’t be heating any baths any day soon. Lastly was Gust. A spell that was just a small gust of wind. I guess it was good for dusting? No idea. Probably will never use it.

“Umm….” A voice came from behind me. I turned to see Apple Girl getting back up. There was a distinct paw print on her face. 

“You are awake…..”
