YITLOF: Ch: 32) Test! Part 1 (Patreon)

On a rooftop within Konoha, Four people sat under the sun as a gentle breeze blew by. Kakashi looked at the four people and sighed. He has had many issues over the years because of two of these kids. Luckily it was nothing major and was mostly Yuki getting rid of hollows. “Well, although you all pretty much know each other we will still do self introductions. Tell everyone you likes and dislikes and what your dreams are. Let’s start with you naruto.”

“I like ramen and Yuki! I dislike people who look down on me… My dream is to become the next Hokage!” Naruto stated proudly which caused two of the three girls to glare at him but he ignored it all.

“I see then… Sakura you next.” Kakashi already knew Naruto’s goals in life so he did not question them. For him to have a dream of becoming Hokage is a goal worth chasing after.

“Let’s see, I like Yuki, and I dislike Naruto. As for my dreams hehehe…..” Sakura’s cheeks blushed as she glanced at Yuki. 

“I see…. Hinata.” Kakashi sighed. He wondered why he could not live the life he read about in his books as well.

“I like Yuki as well. As for my dislikes. I hate the hyugas, Naruto and right now Sakura. As for my dreams….” Hinata tapped her chin before continuing. “I want to keep growing stronger so I can keep fighting at Yuki’s side.”

“Eh!? Why do you hate me!?” Sakura cried out while pouting only to get a tongue stuck out at her. 

“Alright enough, lastly Yuki.” Kakashi felt a head ache coming on. He just hopped Yuki’s answers would be normal.

“I like peace. I dislike villains. As for my dreams? My dream is to become the strongest hero of all time.” Yuki’s last words were said firmly as if she was making a declaration to the world.

Kakashi did not find her answers strange. He had gotten to know her enough to know she was a good kid. If not for her Naruto would have turned out much different than he was now.  “Alright, your first mission is already decided. It’s just that…. Yuki, Hinata, are you sure you want to go through all of this? If you wanted you could already be….”

“It’s fine. Kakashi, you should know me by now. All training has to be done properly. I do not wish to skip levels just because my current strength allows for it. I will start off as genin like everyone else.” Yuki cut off Kakashi. She was already waiting for him to say something. “Plus, the hokage already said he did not wish for me to jump levels either. The chunin exams are right around the corner and he wanted me to prepare for that.”

“That is true.” Kakashi answered, nodding in agreement. “Then I won’t say more.  Tomorrow morning you all will meet on the training field designated here. While I would like both Yuki and Hinata to sit on the side during this exam, I have no choice but to have you both participate.”

“Wait exam? Didn’t we already pass the exam?” Naruto asked, feeling very confused.

“This exam is to weed out those who need more training. This means that many of the students who graduated will be forced to go back to the academy for retraining. So Naruto, take this exam seriously.” Kakashi answered, his eyes flashing with a glint of sternness. 

“Alright I will see you all tomorrow.” Kakashi left these words before making a few hand signs and disappearing. 

Naruto looked at the paper and pursed his lips. “It says not to eat anything in the morning?”

“Ignore that Naruto.” Sakura said while folding up her piece of paper. “One would be a fool to not eat anything before a test. He is doing that because we will probably most likely be doing something that will make us burn our energy. So make sure you eat well tonight and tomorrow.”

“Sakura, your ability to analyze the situation is getting better and better.” Hinata praised.

“Well of course, after all I have been learning a lot from the two of you. I owe you both so much so if I do not improve at least a little I will end up useless. I might not be as quick or as strong as you two but I do not wish to hold you back either.” Sakura said as she stood up and stretched. “Since we graduated, why not the three of us go out to eat to celebrate.”

“Good idea, should we call Ino?” Hianta asked.

“She is probably with jonin sensei so let’s just leave it for now. We can celebrate together again when we have time.” Yuki figured that not all of the jonin who took in new genin would be willing to run away so fast. 

The four decided to go to Ramen Ichiraku and after a big fight between Sakura and Naruto over who would sit next to Yuki, Sakaru won and proudly took her place to Yuki. Naruto lowered his head and sat next to Sakura. He didn’t sit near Hinata, she would always hit or kick him. Sakura had pretty much become obsessed with Yuki a few years back when she was almost beaten up by some thugs and Yuki saved her. So she was very happy to be in the same team as Yuki. 

After a good meal and saying goodbye to Naruto, Yuki, Hinata, and Sakura all returned to Yuki and Hiniata’s house. “Sakura, do you want to stay here tonight?”
