On top of a mountain peak far from civilization, multiple figures could be seen watching a young woman as she weaved her hands through the air. With each pass of her hand, the air trembled. Golden runes floated in front of her each one giving off an ancient aura suppressing everything around them.

Nana was being supported by Delia and Silvia. She looked at the love of her life as the girl weaved intricate runes in the air. She could see the sweat dripping from Yuki’s brow. Each movement, each rune created, had to be perfect.

Thousands of runes filled the air. The amount of mana being pulled in made the normally invisible energy become visible. The bluish-purple energy swirled around Yuki, creating a tornado. Calm yet powerful, this was what the girls felt as they looked at the scene before them.

There was no wind. There were no outgoing bursts of debris. No suction to pull them in. It was a sea of calm. A tornado that spun in place but affected nothing around them, yet at the same time, made them feel a heavy weight.

As Yuki waved her hand once more, the final rune formed in front of her. It shook slightly as it became visible and transparent again. Over and over until it finally took hold in the mortal world.

Boom!

A burst of energy swept out as the runes began to spin around in a massive circle in the sky. This attracted the attention of many tenth runic masters, who quickly appeared on the scene only to be smashed down from the sky and slammed into the grounds below the mountain peak. Those who rushed ahead did so out of greed, while those who waited to watch the scene from afar were able to escape the embarrassment of being smashed into the ground.

But what they were witnessing was not something a tenth runic master could achieve. “Did someone really break the limits of this world?”

“It seems so.” And old man furrowed his brow. “It seems someone tossed out the teachings of old.”

“It’s the only way. We have tried many times to do the same but have always failed.”

“It seems to be a young woman too. Even those girls standing behind her are probably beyond the world’s limit. To think such young prodigies have appeared.”

“I do not think these girls are meant for the mortal world.”

“I wonder where they came from…” All the old men couldn’t help but nod at this thought. Where did such powerful people come from, to begin with? Which hidden clan could produce such powerful young women at such a young age?

“Gather!” Yuki shouted, and the runes that were spinning began to compress together. The runes began to stack on top of each other, one after the other. The air in the area seemed to stand still. As the runic circle got smaller and smaller, and overwhelming pressure filled the air that was greater than before, causing even Silvia and the girls to feel it. Only Nana did not feel anything due to the girls protecting her. Using their own mana to push back the pressure.

The runes gathered into a ball of light. But if one looked closely, they would see the runes that were once in the air now circulating around the ball of light. The light slowly began to expand and morph, turning into a strange shape for the old men watching, but for Yuki, it was nothing unheard of. A nine-floor pagoda. The pagoda slowly took shape before becoming a solid object. Yuki looked at the pagoda floating in front of her and smiled. Each of these floors had its own pocket dimension. They were meant to act as a seal to suppress the being who had hold of Nana’s soul, keeping him from taking any more of Nana’s strength. The spiritual qi and mana on each floor were quite dense. This would stabilize Nana and maybe even allow her to regain her youth.

Yuki had thought deeply about this. It was only a temporary fix and might not work. But she figured it was at least worth a try. The thing about this dimension was that time flowed differently from the outside world. It was slowed to the point that a single day inside would be a year outside.

And the best part about this pagoda was how it could be carried around. Yuki waved her hand, and the pagoda turned into a ray of light, shooting into the spot between Yuki’s brow. With a wave of her hand, a small tear in space appeared in front of her. This was the entrance to the pagoda’s first floor.

“Complete…” Yuki let out a sigh of relief. She turned to Nana and smiled as she waved her over. “Nana, come.”

Nana walked over with the girls’ help and took Yuki’s hand. Yuki smiled and interlocked her fingers with Nana’s as she said: “For now, you will stay in here. Each floor is its own space, with different environments.”
