Selene’s and the other girls’ faces all turned strange as they stared at the man. Even the man’s cheeks began to turn red under the strange gazes of the girls. “Ahem… The Dean’s granddaughter, Claire Benson, walked up the mountain to the Korli with a bag on her back. This normally means she sold herself in order for them to try to kill someone. But we can only think of one person whom she would want to kill, and that is a new girl who had just joined the academy… I think her name was Yuki.”
“Yuki!” Selene and the girls cried out causing the man to almost jump out of his chair.
“Ladies! Please don’t suddenly yell like that! You’ll give me a heart attack!” The man patted his chest, holding on to the chair. He was not expecting them to all suddenly yell!
“Hehe, sorry.” Chi giggled as she covered her mouth. Her cheeks turned slightly red.
“Which town is that academy in?” Selene asked. She couldn’t care less if the man in front of her died or not, but only after he gave her the information she needed.
“It’s down the main road. You will pass three towns before you can reach the town where White Stone Magi Academy is located. It’s about a three-day trip on foot.” The man replied.
“Thanks!” Selene did not even say goodbye before running off. Chi And Silvia both chased after her. This was the best news they have had in so long. They would finally get to see their Yuki again!
All three girls had tears welling up in their eyes as they ran as fast as they could. Silvia even picked Chi up so that she would not lag behind. The girls ran quickly, and within a single day and night, they had arrived at their destination. “I smell Yuki!” Chi was so happy she jumped off Silvia’s back and raced towards the direction of the smell. Selene and Silvia looked at each other before chuckling and chasing after her.
They quickly arrived at a hotel where they saw a familiar figure standing at the entrance waiting for them. “It seems you found me first.” The girl smiled softly as she opened her arms. Chi was the first to jump up and hug the girl by the neck, planting a kiss on her face. Silvia and Selene were not far behind.
“I missed you girls.” Yuki took a second to give each girl a hug and kiss before leading them upstairs to the room she was staying in.
When the three girls walked in and saw Delia, another girl, and an older-looking woman in the room, they were slightly confused. It took a second before Silvia’s eyes widened as she called out in a choked voice: “Nana!?”
“Mmm… Sorry, I don’t look all that good.” Nana lowered her eyes but felt a hand resting on top of her head, gently stroking it. She looked over at Yuki, who had sat next to her, and smiled. She took a deep breath and forced a smile.
“Why would we care about what you look like?” Selene asked. Pain could be seen in her eyes. Nana had been hit with the brunt of the attack when they were forced to retreat, and now… She bit her lip. She wondered if there was anything she could do.
“Yeah, we will always love you.” Silvia gave a firm nod as she wiped the tears rolling down her cheeks.
“I think it is us who should be apologizing to you. We were unable to do anything.” Chi lowered her head. She couldn’t help but feel responsible.
“None of this is anyone’s fault. Rize, who is currently out, dropped an entire realm, and Delia and I lost some cultivation as well. Nana, who took the brunt of it all, seems to have a mark on her soul causing her to be unable to recover. We did our best. I am currently working on a method to create my own little pocket dimension so I can keep Nana stabilized and bring her with me when I finally enter the immortal realm. The same goers for all of you as well. Instead of us breaking through and meeting in the immortal realm, it will be easier if you wait and enter my pocket dimension, where you can follow me to the immortal realm and then break through there.
“For Nana, we need someone who specializes in healing souls. The being that attacked us seems to have done something to her soul and is taking any qi we give her and sucking her dry.” Yuki explained. She still had a long way to go, but once she was able to do it, they could finally leave this world.
“It seems you got things worked out.” Silvia let out a sigh. She sat on the bed and leaned forward, hugging Nana’s waist. She owed her new life to Yuki and Nana. These two girls brought her a whole new path. She couldn’t bear to part with either of them. She loved them both dearly.
