A week later…

In a large mansion, an old man was standing over a young maid who had nothing but fear in her eyes. “Let’s hope you are compatible.”

“Master, please don’t do this…” The young maid did not want this at all but the master of the house had already tied her hands and feet. And the room she was in seemed to be sound proof. Because no matter how much she yelled no one seemed to hear her.

“There is no need to worry. As long as you live through this, you will have a very good life.” The old man lust filled grin caused the girl to shiver. Then she felt a sharp pain in her lower half before suddenly feeling extremely weak.

Grunting sounds echoed through the room but when the old man finally finished, he looked down to see the once beautiful maid was now nothing but a dried husk. “Another failure. At least your life force will be able to keep me alive a little longer.”

The old man then throws the maid to the side before adjusting his robes and making his way to the left wall of the room. It is there that he passes through it and steps out into his own room. But his face turns slightly grave. “I can not keep using these girls like this. Someone will eventually notice so many maids entering the household. But if I do not do this, I will die.”

“Father.” The old man turns to see his son, Michael Randle, standing there. “Michael, get another maid. Someone with a higher amount of mana. I have to hurry.”

“Understood Father.” Michael bows and exits the room. As he does he could only let out a sigh. He did not like any of this, but it was the only way to keep his father alive. Once he reached the tenth circle then, he would not need to worry about death anymore. But he found it strange. Why did his father’s life force not extend once reaching the sixth circle? Why was he still forced to continue this horrific taboo? If he was ever found out. The entire family would be destroyed.

“I just need to do what my father says.” Michael hated it, but he had no other choice.

“I have found him,” Henry says as Yuki sits down. “I also did a bit more investigating and within this past week, they have hired six maids. All female. All around eighteen years of age and beautiful. What’s more, many of them were at the first or second circle. Normally, in a small town like the one, the Randles moved to first or second circle could be considered a genius. And becoming a maid of a sixth circle elder was actually a chance to maybe learn more and gain another circle.”

“Have you looked into the kind of taboo magic he is using?” Yuki asked. She knew this was more than just using these girls to cast magic. If it was just normal blood magic from what she had understood, it would not include killing the subject.

“I have, and it is not good. There is actually an ancient form of blood magic that uses the very life force of the target to extend one’s life. Unlike normal blood magic, this one can only be used on virgin girls. I think you already know the rest.” Henry explains.

Yuki nods her head in response. “Then we need to get rid of him even quicker then. Delia will stay here in case one of my wives shows up. I will head to this town called Asgard and deal with the old man and anyone involved.”

Yuki detested any kind of magic or technique that required sacrifices. Such things should never exist in the first place. All they did was cause the deaths of innocents who had nothing to do with anything. People who just wanted to live out their lives and now…

“Yuki…” Delia reached out and held Yuki’s hand. The red aura coming off her body had made the Massin family all cower in fear.

“Ah…. Sorry. I lost my composer.” Yuki bowed her head in apology. “I will be heading out. I promise to put a stop to this.”

“Yuki, be careful.” Delia was worried that Yuki might use up too much spiritual qi.

“I will. And don’t worry, Delia. I won’t use spiritual qi. I will use my pure strength.” Yuki leaned over and gave Delia a kiss goodbye before leaving the mansion. With the map in hand telling her how to get to the town of Asgard she tapped her foot off the ground and blasted forward, her speed so fast all people felt was the wind that kicked up as she passed by.

Up north, Silvia, Selene, and Chi all arrived at a small town and were currently sitting inside an inn. Some nice bandits were kind enough to give the girls all their money just before arriving in town, allowing them to find a place to sleep and eat.

“So what is our next step?” Selene asked.

“We should probably just gather information at this point. Maybe we can catch word of strangers appearing in different towns.” Silvia suggested.

“Why do I feel, that Yuki would already be a first circle magi though?” Chi really felt this way. She knew Yuki well she would understand the concept and then change it to work for her.

Both Silvia and Selene let out long sighs hearing this. “We can only hope we can hear something good.”
