Three months later…

“The walls to the capital are huge.” Miyumi was stuck in awe by the sheer size of the walls.

Currently Shizuku and her party were standing at the gates of the capital. Lunaria, the capital city of Dracluna. A city so massive it makes many human cities seem more like villages.

“Dracluna is a fortified city. Most of the population of Dracluna lives there, save Freesdale. Compared to any other city on the continent, only the Dwarven city of Iron Rock can come close to it in size.” Shizuku was very proud of the current state of her knowledge.

“I kind of want to see the dwarf kingdom now, too,” Miyumi replied. She really liked the scenery of this world. She never thought much about exploring places but now she had an adventurer’s spirit.

“I will be sure to make it happen. Even if I need to take it over.” Shizuku teased as she poked Miyumi in the side.

“Why do I feel like that was something that might just happen?” Lishia had a feeling that this cute and seemingly harmless girl would really end up taking over the world one day.

“Who knows.” Shizuku gave a small smile before stepping forward. When she did, the guard’s eyes seemed to widen in surprise.

“Miss, please hold on one second.” The guard suddenly turned and ran into the door next to him. Shizuku looked at the others, who all shook their head. They had no idea what was going on.

A few minutes later, the guard came running back out and bowed his head. “Miss, a carriage is waiting. Her Highness wishes to see you.”

“Her Highness?” Shizuku was even more confused now. She did not know who this Highness was.

“The Queen of Dracluna.” The guard replied humbly. He was showing great respect to Shizuku.

“Alright. What about my friends?” Shizuku could not just leave the others.

“A manor has been prepared for you. You may not know this but you are a very honored guest of Dracluna. A hero reborn as a vampire. You and your companions will receive the best treatment possible.” The guard’s eyes were shinning. The entire guard corps had been notified that the Vampire Hero would soon reach the city and even had been given pictures of her. As long as she were to appear, she was to be treated as if she was the queen herself.

“Alright, as long as nothing happens to my wives and friends.” Shizuku turned to the others, who nodded back. “Please lead the way.”

“Yes!” The guard felt proud. He would get to be the first to show the Vampire Hero around the city. He could feel the jealous stares of his comrades. With a puffed-out chest, he led Shizuku and the others to where two carriages were waiting.

Number One and the other shadow guards all piled into one carriage, while Mei and the other wives got into the same carriage as Shizuku. Of course, Rose rode with them as well.

The carriage moved slowly through the city streets, allowing Shizuku and the others to take in the beauty of the city created by vampires. It had more of a classic gothic feel with the gargoyles and other ornaments that adorned the buildings.

The citizens were not just vampires but many other races. Even humans could be seen speckled about within the crowds. Children of all races ran around playing games while the adults went about their daily business. It was a peaceful atmosphere. A true Eden, one could say, with how many races were able to come together with out any hostility.

“This place is really nice.” Shizuku let out a relaxed sigh as she rested her head on her folded arms that were propped up on the carriage window as she watched the comings and goings of the people.

“I always loved coming to this city on my journeys. I knew since you liked Freesdale that you would like this place as well. While there are still nobles who think too highly of themselves, the city is very peaceful. Although there will be slums and bad characters as well, they are normally regularly policed.” Lishia explained.

“So even those in the slums have security. It must be good. This way, even those who are not as fortunate can live in peace.” Shizuku knew how many of the people in the so-called holy kingdom had been wishing for more security, but they only got by by having their residents become guards.

“Yes. And it is kept much cleaner. Keeping out the criminals who would normally end up really ruining a place, they had been able to keep the slums sanitary and kept the crime rate low.” Lishia had spent much time in Dracluna making it one of her favorite cities.

“I do wonder what the queen wants of me, though. Is it just because I am a summoned hero?” Shizuku wondered. If that were the case, wouldn’t she wish to meet Miyumi as well?

“That could be part of it, but I think its more along the lines of your skills. It is for sure that it has been reported back already that you can manipulate blood.” Now that Lishia mentioned it, Shizuku also felt this was probably why. She sighed and continued looking out the window, waiting to arrive at their destination.
