You are correct Asia, the “you can’t handle the truth!” Line is iconic and has been used and still mimicked and used today. Just like Scarface, “Say hello to my little friend!” Or Jaws, “You’re going to need a bigger boat.” Or even you quoting the Shining, “Here’s Johnny!” Great film and so happy you watched this one. Have you ever seen First Blood? Oh and I was surprised you didn’t recognize Kevin Pollack when you just saw The Grumpy Old Men movies.

That lunch scene in Cuba gives me chills with Jack Nicholson asking," You believe I want to help you anyway I can, don't you Danny?" because his son in The Shining was named Danny and he says it with the same inflection . . Like a tiny hint at the kind of psycho you're dealing with! Great reaction guys!

The scene where Tom Cruises imitates Jack Nicholson. It’s important to realize that Kevin Pollock (Lieutenant Weinberg) is a stand-up comic. I first saw him during HBO’s series, “One Night Stand.” He does some amazing actor imitations of; William Shatner, Robin Williams, and Jack Nicholson, to name a few. He must of thought to himself of Tom Crusie’s attempt and thought, “Not bad…I can do better.”

Great cast in this movie. Nicolson as the Kernel has some great lines in this movie, "you want me on that wall -- you NEED ME on that wall" ... "you want the truth? YOU CAN'T handle the TRUTH". Great performances by Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon and even Kiefer Sutherland. Also I had forgotten that Cuba Gooding Junior snuck into this movie, Just like Coming to America ... sneaky actor.
