I'm excited to see the reactions to the rest of this season and especially S8. I don't to want say anything that may be a spoiler, but I was not happy with some aspects of this season... the characters were all off from their development arcs, still it stayed true with surprising elements. If you have any dislikes with this season... then 8 will surely make you angry. It is one of the most divisive season among fans, so I'm curious which side the reaction is going to fall.

I agree with you! I have been enjoying this re-watch though. A lot of decisions made on this show just seemed out of pocket. I haven't seen New Blood yet so I was doing this re-watch on here in hopes that they do the new series too. I am very curious to see how they continue it!

New Blood followed a similar path... it started out great, but they ran out of funding and didn't get to shoot some of the scenes that would wrap everything up properly. I didn't mind the ending, but it was somewhat of an easy cop out to end the series early. I was pretty upset that it wasn't approved for a second season because it would've allowed for all the loose ends to be addressed. If you are someone who was upset at how S8 ended, then you're likely to feel the same way about New Blood. With all of that said, I'm glad I watched it. It has been interesting rewatching the original series and seeing how the writers for New Blood built on to how things ended in S8.

Hey guys! I'm watching Dexter for the first time right along with you. The end of this episode surprised me and I have no idea what is going to happen. It seems to me that Dexter realized that he found someone else like him in Hannah, so he decided not to kill her and "connected" with her. I can't wait to see how the season unfolds.
