Regarding "new" Patreon fees (Patreon)

So there seems to be a mass exodus of Patrons removing pledges from creators (not me in particular) and I just wanted to give my take on the matter.

Patreon is not charging new fees. What they are doing is passing the processing fees of 35 cents plus 3% to the patrons, not the creators. Previously, I lost nearly 4% in funds just on processing fees. Now I get most of that money.

Previously, your $1 pledge would only give the creator $0.65. Now they get a full dollar just for a few cents more from the Patrons.

Before you go mass pulling pledges, think about how much difference that 3-4% makes to you. It's not that much more and it ensures creators actually get the amount pledged to them.

By leaving, you're not punishing Patreon... you're punishing the creators that bring you the art you love.
