Today's the second half of the Lake and Ng story, or should I say, the Lake/Ng/Balazs story. I cover their abduction and murder spree, their detection, arrest and capture, and subsequent trial. Along the way, there are various anomalies in how the case is handled, especially relating to Cricket and her full-use immunity deal. Was a broader network involved?

Pear Is A Patsy

anyone know what Jimmy meant by the “death grip”?

Playdoh

The little bit I could find is that it's strangling someone (with their undergarments according to Lake) while performing a sex act on them. I only saw one transcript of Lake talking to Ng about it after searching (because the band "Death Grips" freak me out despite "I've Seen Footage" being a great song). Doesn't sound that shocking (in the context of the duos other crimes and atrocities) until you consider what the normal meaning of death grip is -extreme grip force in life or death situation. Then it clicked that there are many muscles that spasm and other reactions when being strangled or otherwise near death/dying. I won't say more but you can find the transcript on Reddit and I think you'll figure out what it seems to imply. I'd link the thread but not sure of the rules for Patreon on that. Horrific shit.

Could anybody tell me what book on human sacrifice, sold in Soldier of Fortune, Jimmy was alluding to? Maybe it was mentioned in the previous installment but Google gave me nothing.
