I have some questions for you today!

During the years I was making pixel art, sometimes I received questions about if I’m going to make pixel art tutorials or if I can teach pixel art in general. I always thought that I’m not skilled or educated enough for that, I don’t have an educational degree etc. Also, I don’t know any drawing lifehacks, so making tutorials is definitely not for me. All I know is that drawing is hard and you have to draw and draw and draw to figure how it works for yourself.

But recently I realized that my knowledge about drawing pixel art, that I treat as given, ordinary and nothing special, might have something useful for other people.

For now I see it in three possible ways:

1. Online course on some educational platform

2. Series of videos on Patreon with a separate tier

3. Private lessons

Imagine if there was a pixel art school somewhere where you could learn from all the pixel art masters around the world…

Anyway, if I’ll decide to make some kind of a course about pixel art, for example "pixel art cityscapes" or "pixel art environments", would anyone of you be interested in such thing?

If this is something interesting for you, is there any specific form of education you prefer? Or maybe there are already so many tutorials and courses out there that this might be an outdated idea?

Thanks in advance for any answer!

If you have any ideas or proposals - feel free to message me here on Patreon or via email waneella@gmail.com

I think an online course on an educational platform would be great! I would say just do a separate tier here, but I think the built-in infrastructure of an educational platform would be helpful. I'd be VERY interested either way!!!

I just happened to be checking your work after a while and saw the patreon update about a course as I'm doing a study on pixel art (lol). I think it would be easiest to do a course on some education platform, but I also agree with what TeikoSupertramp said, having an occasional live course/showcase on twitch. I think for that, it would be easiest to do a separate tier here on patreon, and then while we're getting updates on the course and videos, you can make a post informing people about "on this day, i'm gonna be doing something on twitch"

1 or 2. This is the main reason why I joined your Patreon. Your artwork is spectacular and you're a huge inspiration as to why I got into pixel art in the first place!

Thank you very much for your support! The most popular version I received is to make videos of how I draw with my thoughts about it and explanations. I think this might be the most realistic approach for now, especially since I don't have much experience in tutoring. Thank you very much for the kind words, I'm very glad that I was able to be helpful in some way!
