EDIT: Patreons, I have identified a major bug in the patreon released version last week. It might cause compatibility issues further down if you continue with this savefile, but I will try to back-fix it as well. I recommend re-playing the game in public build and saving that game instead though.

I can't stress this enough THIS IS NOT A FULL-SIZE UPDATE! As I said in an update post, this is only meant to be an in-between point on the way to version 0.2.0. At the moment I THINK I have finally figured out most of the technical aspects of what I want to be in the game, and I will focus on adding a big chunk to the story from now on instead of redoing the back-end code over and over again.

The story in this build is significantly *shorter* than in 0.1.2. Why? As I said, the construction of the new image engine that I developed with help from Goctionni did not really support any backwards compatibility, so the entire game had to be re-done from scratch. Every event, every map, every script I have done was thrown out and re-done for this build.

Thanks to, or because of that, I took the opportunity to re-design the story a bit. Childhood is now gone, so I won't have to make separate sprites for all characters that would only appear in the intro and never again. Instead, the story picks up 1 day before coronation.

While it's not fully implemented, the game will now feature a bunch of new sprites and icons.

I implemented two distinct systems for summonable allies in battle. One of them is already available to see in this build, the other will likely make an appearance in the next build. If you dig in the files a little you can probably even find the CHONKY ally I have ready for you.

There's a bunch of more or less random shit I've developed for this build. A lot of it can be viewed in the debug room (which is now accessible from behind the left pillar of Tali's bedroom, standing on the balcony.

Next build should be out in Feb. That's right, no more waiting half a decade for an update, I aim for monthly updates for a foreseeable future. The next update should make the available story chunk about 200 to 300% bigger. I am already working on the maps and events for it. Some of it is already semi-done but I wanted to finish the build in a point from which I can easily amend or tweak anything if necessary.

I am also on the verge of getting new art for Felix Clax and Brindall too so I want to make sure it works right before I mess everything up again by running faster than I can walk.

Apparently there is a somewhat odd bug in the 1st map of the game that I'm working on fixing, but until I find a fix, here is a workaround if you are getting a crash trying to access inventory: 1. in main menu make sure autosave is on 2. launch new game as normal 3. pass the dialogue to the point where you get control over your character 4. close the game 5. load autosave 6. proceed as normal

I managed to find a permanent solution to this issue which I will include in public release.
